Any suggestions on a level 2 or 3 duty holster that a glock 21 with the TLR 2 or TLR 3 would fit in? I've been looking for days on-line and in stores and I CANNOT find one thats made for these two lights. I'll even go with SUREFIRE if there is a holster for the Glock 21. Thanks in advance.
It is unfortunate that the trial broke down, either this or the HK 45 would have a been excellent. I cannot wait to see the military scrap those Berettas and return to the .45 ACP
I don't agree with the way he holds it. It seem that your supporting index finger is better placed on the trigger guard, like the designers had in mind (there's a textured grip there).
Everyone is going to have their own preference, but I think it is safe to say having a finger on the trigger guard is considered "old style" these days.
Dave is the MAN! Multiple National Championships under his belt and humble as well. Without doubt the greatest Glock shooter in history. Also, his advice on proper gun handling and performing a basic field strip should be mandatory viewing.
the slide needs some gun oil its squeaky but yea i love glock pistols easy to shoot light weight i can put a whole 15 rounds in my glock 22 and they have such a cool style
why because its a little bit cooler looking and it has a safety? ah i know cause the guy at the gun store talked you into it, they make more money off springfields then glocks, thats why they push em.
The XD is FAR inferior to Glock. Ever try doing a quick mag change on your XD? Yanno, where your mag drops on the ground? Try running that mag again after it's been dropped. FTF's left and right. There's no polymer covering the metal which makes it way too easy to bend the lips of the mag.. rendering it useless.
Beyond that, the ramp is at too steep of an angle, which causes FTF in rapid fire situations.
I've been shooting Glock for over 6 years, have owned a model 17, 19, 21, 23, and 27. Never have I ever felt "bite" from the weapon. My only criticism for Glock is the subcompact models have too small of grips, even with the Pearce finger extension.
Gotta love some of the comment here - some people have no idea. Dave Sevigny is the best glock shooter in the world so anything he says I'm pretty much going to take as gospel. Nice vid.
A mate of mine knows a guy who used to be a merc. He said Glocks gave heaps of slide bite and you can see that from their design. USPs, Berettas etc are probably designed better in that regard but the Glock is still a pretty good pistol from what I hear.
You're holding it wrong then.. learn how to shoot and it wont happen.
Probably one of those fools who put their left thumb over their right hand for "support". I saw a guy get his thumb damn near ripped off by doing this. I laughed. It was funny. :-)
i've seen someone do that too. it 'shaved' the top of his thumb knuckle off and that was only with a .22 auto. can't imaging doing it with a larger caliber gun, it would probably be like getting shot in the hand.
If you hold the pistol like Dave is showing you in the video, you won't have slide bite; what the heck are you talking about anyway? I've never heard of anyone getting "slide bite" from a Glock handgun that was holding it properly. Dave Sevigny is one of the top shooters in production division on the planet so it's safe to say that he knows that he's talking about. That is like criticizing Michael Schumacher as he instructs you on how to drive a Formula 1 car...
can you believe that the Beretta is actually easier to take apart and field strip? I learned gun cleaning on the old Colt .45, which in retrospect is a pain in the balls to take apart, especially on the newer Kimbers that require a little takedown pin and some skill.
the beretta is so easy to take apart that LA gangs were teaching their members how to rip the slides off with one hand. the problem was so bad that LAPD had to have their weapons modified.
You obviously have never owned one have you? To take the 92 apart, you have to depress a tab on the right side of the frame while simultaneously rotating the take-down lever clockwise. Not an easy take to perform on a loaded gun pointed towards you. Please, enlighten us as to what special modifications the LAPD had done. I call BS on your entire post.

I wonder if Glock will make SF versions of all their pistols in the near future as an option.
Wii60 4 years ago 9
not likely, the sf was only made for a military pistol trial that fell through, they only wanted 45 acp so thats what glock made.

Well, he's the current USPSA Champ and former World Champ. He knows how to shoot and hold a Glock.

They didn't "have it in mind" they just made it so if you do hold a pistol like that, it won't be uncomfortable to do so with their pistols.

@sigmasquadleader
You disagree? That's Dave Sevigny.....I suggest you start taking notes.
