  • I've still got the 45 that I purchased way back then.I always thought it was probably one of the best songs from what I believe was a truly golden era in OZ music. Thanks for the upload.

  • LOVE IT,nothing more to say.

  • The greatest band in OZ , I was the bass player with Gus and the House the night at Natts place in the mid 72 s in Sydney when they where the Guest Band , they where playing my favorite tune * Gonna see my BB tonight * to this day my favorite , love it

married the girl that I met that night ,just celebrated our 39th wedding aniversary

  • lovin it, thanks

  • I saw these guys at the Ngaruawahia Festival in '73. Also on the bill were Black Sabbath, Fairport Convention, Blerta, and the newly-formed Split Ends.

In my opinion, and the opinion of all my mates, the La De Das stole the show.

    Man they rocked!

  • the 70's were the best decade fo music Heavy rock evolved,(Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin,) shit,,, what more do yopu want>>>!!!

  • Unfortunately when Kevin plays this live these days he doesnt stay true to this original version ,which I think is a shame

  • Awesome track,I know there is an original live performance in the studio version of this ,the ABC have it (an old GTK clip) love to see it!!!!Some crazy bass in this too, anyone know the intro chords.

  • i was about 11 years old when i heard this , and then i saw LE ... La De Dahs in David Jones Dpt Store around the same time,,, and i freaked out.

    GUY LE CLAIRE

  • It was great seeing Kevin play this song on Rockwiz tonight!!!

  • @DUNVEGANCASTLE

remember the Kevin Borich Express? wow, this track was great, hope you enjoyed the legend's guitar work. Man, if only I could have been there, I would have bought you some VBs and sit back and just fall back to the 1970s.

  • I love this song, nice funky licks here and there and the solo at the end rocks. Jimmy Barnes and Nathan Cavaleri's version is good too - I've still got it on CD somewhere which I got from having to buy almost a year's supply of Weetbix.

  • No!!.. Spud Murphy was the Headmaster then at Normo! I finished HSC in 1972

    Dave

  • sorry......I guess I was not into who was the head.

I did the hsc in 1974. I am just starting to put some of my bands video clips on my site. These were done just a few years ago. I got way more of proper live ones to come...just need to do some editing. See ya Dave.....tell me a little bit more about yourself?

  • bty...I am the guitar player

  • Always loved this song......saw them at a lunch time gig at Normanhurst Boys' High in '72 or '73 (can't remember) I had a good lunchtime!

  • It was '72. I was there too. I was 12 and life was never the same again!

  • Wow..

  • hey...i know this sounds a bit something but.........who are you?

  • G Day My Plate! I love this too

I was at Normo in 1972!! Remember Spud Murphy?

  • Hello Spud...can't say I remember you...you must have been one year ahead of me.

  • No!!.. Spud Murphy was the Headmaster then at Normo! I finished HSC in 1972

    Dave

  • was written about my sister, his first wife :-)

  • One of the best Aussie rock songs of all time! I first heard about them in 1993 when I met one of the band at a Suzi Quatro gig and he told me about the good old days.

  • They were actually from N.Z. but like anything good we will claim them.

  • They don't make 'em like this anymore! Such a fantastic time to be around ... like aldofz, I don't remember much but I know I had a good time!

  • hey please don't knock the seventies.A lot of good music besides disco came out in the seventies like skyhooks, AC/DC.,dragon, sherbet and that's just aussie groups oh and by the way I LOVE this song

  • The 70s were really happy and wild times for me, and some really great music did come out of that decade.

  • There were millions more groups than AC/DC.

  • @FUBB807 Hey, AC/DC are still around as well as a number of other 70's artistes. Who the heck remembers who won Aussie Idol 2 - 3 years ago?

  • Another great band from way back when. I saw them play a few times.... (I don't remember the 70's, but I've been told I was there).
