Hmm, time to constantly be reminded of the loss of one of our countries monuments and the lives lost by staring into giant toilets, then look up to an empty skyline with some kind of Chinese style buildings surrounding the site. Well done everyone, well done.
Do we have to see those empty holes forever???? to remind us what we lost ??? come on !!! rebuilt the twin towers, don't let terrorists win !!! Do we have to swim in the middle of the financial center of the world??? so stupid !!!
I've been following the construction process. I'm glad they built a memorial there. It showed how much impact 9/11 effected us as citizen of the United States, and the World.
Tina Chaden Thanks for sharing that John, in all the coverage of the site it is the first time I really can get the feeling how vast and at the same time how intimate it is...Beautiful clip
@ricky61859 Which makes us look weak. Weak that we didn't build the original towers, weak that it's a downpour of tears which never ends. We need to overcome these disasters, not show that a piece inside us is gone!
@duderme are you serious? you have 0 respect for those who died? For the families who never found a single piece of their loved ones? All you care about is building 2 huge buildings so your skyline is not affected? Those families didnt want anything to be build out there unless it was a memorial, a tribute to those who died.
What they have created is beautiful. It's showing respect and at the same time paves the future. The new buildings are also much much better than the old towers.
@elwingy Sorry, I respect those who died and were affected. It's nice they built memorial that stands out in the street, but I thought it it would be more impressive if they just rebuilt them, and still had a big memorial. Whatever, it's just my opinion. Too late for any of that.

I Love the 911 memorial site and the way it was created in memory of those that lost their lives on September 11, 2001. The waterfall reminds me that those that lost their lives here on earth now live on in Heaven under the Protection, Peace and Love of God! A much better place where there is no evil. 1 John 1:5 This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.
Nice 10 yr tribute :).

It’s amazing how much beauty can come, from such tragedy…
…an endless downpour of tears cascading, into the dawn of mourning…
