  • If something like that popped out of one of my lamps, I'd probably hit it with a broom xD

  • hookah though mad man hassan a straight g lmao

  • Jim Backus did an amazing job as Smokey the Genie.

  • Baghdad? that's where the Iraq War is in?

  • I know this was an adult cartoon

  • Altho Jim Backus didn't get a credit for his voice, he still does a good job. The main reason WHY that Mel remained on the LT's bill as "vocal characterizations" was because at the time of his contract, talent like his was unheard of.

But with the 60's rolling in and studio heads changing, he could no longer maintain that status nor posture.

  • Before there was Saddam Hussein, there was Caliph Hassan Feffer. :)

  • I never cared that much for McKimson's cartoons (compared to Clampett's, Jones' and Freling's), but they were still superior to most of the stuff that came out of other studios.

  • hey robert mckimson's fat bugs

  • hey its a hare-em

  • Cool! Another Fat Gugs cartoon!

  • 2 people didn't know it was a harem

  • I wish i had a jump start magic rug

  • Is the voice of the genie really Jim Backus, or is it Mel Blanc sounding like Backus? No mention of Jim Backus in the credits.

  • @mike928pa A lot of voice actors in cartoons of that time went uncredited (Blanc managed to get credit for his work as part of his contract with WB).

  • @mike928pa That's Backus. Blanc had a stipulation in his contract that gave him sole credit for the voice characterizations, which really sucks.

  • @mike928pa Mel Blanc was the only one who got credited until the 60s, because he was clever enough to get it into his contract. As a side effect, he was the only one who could be credited, which Mel Blanc didn't want.

  • The best bugs cartoon ever! Bag dad bagdad!!

  • Lol, i love the sign that says "Built on G.I Loan".

  • classic.

  • ROFL! 'Hare'plane xD

  • Jim Backus was also in Gilligan's Island. :-)

  • Baghdad was in persia before it was split into iran and iraq

  • @Kd7jfb baghdad is in iraq .....hundreds of years .....but you can say persia was a powerful emperor 1400 years ago....and you must know that there is a big hatred from the persians(SHEAA) against arabs(SUNNAH) who conquest their emperor at the beginning of islam.....sorry for the prolongation

  • haha, Baghdad is not in Persia (Iran) xD

  • I love looney tunes sooooooo nuch!

  • The genie, of course, is voiced by the late great Jim Backus.

Ha-ha-ha! That's not how you spell "Baghdad". But I do like the joke on how it's pronounced.
