I have mine hooked up to an F-control firewire (fca202) and I use it on audacity to record. my recordings are liek a stutter and has pops in it??? any ideas???
@xxniubixx So they are stutters and pops, but can you hear any vocals through at all? if so then, it could be a number of things, the microphone? the mixer? the cables? the interface? or the computer? but most likely its the mic or cables. if you can't hear any vocals, its because the interface isn't set with the computer correctly. Or on the computer you haven't selected the correct input settings
@TheAudioTechWizard I had the same system running perfect a couple of years ago but I moved house and it was packed away. I'm sure I had a driver CD for it when I bought it but I can't find one. I downloaded a driver for my F-control FCA202 external interface and it records fine and plays back. The input comes up to select ok in the device settings for recording and playback as well. Just when I record something it's not smooth and has pops and stutters. I'm sure I had a type of ASIO driver b4.
Hi! I have a big problem with my xenyx 802 (visit my video please), at least I think the mixer is the problem and not the cables.Listen to it with your sound card at maximum.I hope you could give me an advice.Thank you.I must know until tomorrow, because I just bought it and if it has a problem, I will bring him back.
When using headphones plugged into fx send, can you hear sound in your headphones even if channel's main volume (white knob) is at minimum level? This would be very convenient for cuing.
@kingjamm23 This is not a USB mixer so in order to get the audio into your computer you would need an interface (like the Behringer UCA 202 usb interface) or just plug the mixer into your computer using a 1/4 (quarter) inch to 3.5mm cables into your computer's "Microphone/Line in" port. If you use your "Microphine/Line in" there should not be any required configuration. But if you use a interface there may be some required configuration (Referr to you interfaces user manuel). Hope I could help.
@jht95 With out ourchasing any other equipment you could not (unless you would want to try to use a XLR to 1/4 in cable and plug it into your "Line-in" (inputs 3-4 and 5-6) ports and try that but i dont think that will work) you can, however, get a Pre-amplifier and plug it into your line-in ports (inputs 3-4 or 5-6) for your 3rd microphone. The behringer MIC200 is a pre-amp you could try.
That is a microphone pre amp. but if you want a board with 3 built-in pres, the Mackie 802 is great.
I am trying to record vocals through the mixer to a multi-track computer program. Sounds great, but when I record the vocal to a separate track, the new track contains the original music as well as the vocal. How do I record only the vocal without capturing the audio on the same track?
Set up:
1) line 1 microphone, 2) stero line in 5/6 to to external sound card headphone jack, 3) extenal soound card mic jack to stereo main out, 4) headphones to xenyx headphhone jack
@bjsmooth68 From what i can gather, you have created a loop in your system, maybe try and create a chain rather than a loop. Otherwise im afraid your just going to keep hearing that when recording, inbox me if you need more help :)
@ridarecords Im afraid not, because a mixer and an audio interface are two different things. However in one of my other videos i review the Behringer UCA200 which is an audio interface designed for use with the Xenyx Mixer range, to take audio to and from the mixer. You can use this with the Mixer and its relatively cheap :)
@ridarecords You could use the UCA 202 (as "The audio tech wizard" explained) or you could just simply plug the mixer's out pors into your computer's audio in ports using some dual stereo 1/4 inch to 3.5mm cable or use dual stereo RCA to 3.5mm cable to go into your computer. But i would strongly recomend using an audio interface (like the UCA202) because it sound a lot better. But some computers have really good "Audio in" ports. My computer dose not so i had to get the UCA202. Hope it helps :)
Great Video! I am looking into puchasing a Behringer 802 mixer and I was just doing alittle looking around to see what some of it's features are. I am also looking into getting the 1622 mixer aswell so if anyone has a video or something like this one but for the 1622 that would be very kind.
@KerbyChanMusic Hey, this can be done several ways, either connect the RCA (red and white) line outs from the mixer into the RCA inputs on the back of the interface. 2. connect the headphone out from the mixer into the RCA's on your interface. 3. plug the FX send out into the RCA inputs on your Interface :) Hope this helped.
@KerbyChanMusic Okay, well to get it ready, you will need to push down the PHANTOM POWER button so the Mic Is turned on if you are using Condenser, then you need to press the CD/TAPE to control button. Hope this helps :)
can you explain 2 my 12 year old son some of this terminology.. received one for Bday, not sure how 2 use it.. he doesnt understand terminology.Maybe a mixer basic for dummies.
@dedelyfe99 - If you wanted to connect it to the 802 to playback or hear what you are recording, you would connect the two 1/4 inch jack, main outputs into one of the stereo channels on the 802. i hope this helps, if you need anymore help, feel free to inbox me. :)

@dedelyfe99 - If you wanted to connect it to the 802 to playback or hear what you are recording, you would connect the two 1/4 inch jack, main outputs into one of the stereo channels on the 802. i hope this helps, if you need anymore help, feel free to inbox me. :)
