  • dude if you're going to film the television instead of uploading the source material, please don't make obnoxious interjections or little peanut gallery comments the entire time

  • Moderate republicans never win and that is not what we want. That is why her dad didn't win, moderates never do. We do have to stick with conservative principals. I think what has happened is some republicans, when in office, have done some things that contradict our beliefs and that is why some people can't see a difference in the parties. We need to show our contrast with the Obama administration!

  • I agree with Meghan about it being a generational thing. I'm 23 and I also feel that our generation is much more tolerant of opposing views and lifestyles. I think it's mostly because we see the nonsense and ignorance in the separative, intolerable ways of our predecessors and the harm it has to our society. We want to move forward, and doing so requires a lot of change. I'm confident that our youth (tomorrow's leaders) will achieve this.

  • @Wickedsky1986 But we have to be careful, because not everythign should be tolerated and I think that is where the democratic party fails in many respects. You have to stand for something.

  • @bunbun5877, the problem with "moderate" Republicans is that they need to realize that perhaps they'd be better off as Independents. This would increase the power & number of Independents. Moderate Republicans run w/ the Republican party so they'll have a better chance of winning an election than if they ran as an Independent. But then the more extreme Republican ends up winning. This is the same for "moderate" Democrats.

  • @bunbun5877 Evidently moderation fails in both parties (more-so in the Republican party because they tend to be more extreme and/or thick-skulled than Democrats), so there should be a stronger Independent party made up of moderate-minded people. Unfortunately, it seems like the majority of people just like to sway left or right. BTW, as a Democrat I do stand for something, I stand for tolerance.

  • @Wickedsky1986 I don't totally disagree with you, but I think why the more moderate Reps fail is b/c it is like voting for a democrat. Rep party really tried to stand for its principals and what it believes in, while moderate Dems don't so so bad b/c we do basically have a center-right country. As I said before, tolerance is fine to a point. At what point do you say NO, that is wrong, that should not be tolerated in a civilized society. Abortion, child molestors etc...

  • @Wickedsky1986 I wish we could be a lil more like Japan in the sense that we are very proud of OUR culture. We can't tolerate everything. Muslims may soon want polygamy, esp if gay marriage goes through. Should we tolerate that? They may way to implement Sharia law. Should we tolerate that? Obamacare violates the constitution, should we tolerate that? I mean, everyone is tolerant to a point, but where does it end for Democrats?

  • @bunbun5877, nobody ever said we have to tolerate EVERYTHING. For example, as you listed, I've never heard of anyone (dem or rep) tolerating child molestation... You are forcing many issues into the same classification even though they are VERY different & do not coincide with one another. I see many faults and misconceptions in your writing, but I won't try to change your perspective or prove you wrong on those regards because it would take us well off topic....

  • @Wickedsky1986 Well, I am putting all the things in the cateogory of "Things we should not tolerate", that is what they have in common. Nobody comes out in defence of what child molestors do, but often times, Dems have come out against harsher penalties for child molestors. Google: 'Democrats and Jessica's law" for one, Alycia Nipp in Washington was murdered and Dems push back on legislation to get this sick ppl off of the streets for good. So, that is the kind of stuff I am talking about.

  • @bunbun5877, Regarding tolerance, you ask "where does it end for Dems?". Being a dem, I can speak for myself but I'm sure many Dems agree. When it comes to human affairs, I can say I'm able to tolerate anything that doesn't physically harm anybody, & that doesn't financially threat the U.S. Polygamy falls into this category. This is customary in the Muslim faith. This nation u are proud of was founded on principle values including religious tolerance. This doesn't only apply to Christians.

  • @Wickedsky1986 I understand that, but the requirement to be considered a religion is not that strict. A girl the other day fought a request in public school to take her nose ring out b/c she was part of 'The church of body modification". So what if ppl want to form some other church & marry inanimate objects or animals? Is that fine with you? I don't have a problem w/ gay marriage really, but I believe it is a slippery slope, & polygamy certainly leads to justifying all kinds of marriages

  • @bunbun5877, Obamacare falls into this category because nobody is physically hurt & it will improve financial situations. Gay marriage falls into this category, I can tolerate that. The Sharia law does NOT fall into this category cause it results in physically harming people, not to mention it would be unconstitutional because it involves what U.S. culture considers to be cruel and unusual punishment. So I would NOT tolerate that.

  • @Wickedsky1986 Obamacare violates our great constitution. If we don't stand up for that, our country will cease to exist as founded. Everything that makes America special will deteriorate. B/c the Dems will not stop with Obamacare. We already see the long waiting periods in Canada, and Canadian prime ministers and wealthy Saudis come here for surgeries. We must know that while the quantity of ppl who will be covered goes up, the quality will go down. Ppl will be hurt.

  • @bunbun5877, I think Republicans just need to be more open-minded and need to stop believing that Christianity is the only belief system that should be tolerated in America. That is delusional and not what our founding fathers intended. To tolerate it doesn't mean you must practice it. It means you allow it to exist peacefully while remaining confident in your own way of life. If it's not gonna phycially or financially hurt you, why worry? Being untolerable has no benefits...

  • @Wickedsky1986 I agree that, while I am a Christian, they CANNOT use that in any of their debates. Stop using God as a reason for things, especially in the abortion argument. That argument can be won w/o God on the basis that we cannot kill innocent human life. I do agree they need to stop that. I want to send you a message b/c I only have 500 words and it is annoying.
