Whoa.... that is definately a different way of doing it. :P
I am having a hard time getting the loops to "flip" or "pop".... I guess I am putting them on the wrong section of the string, and not on the shuttle section????
Most people have a hard time with that flip. Try using 2 different colors of thread, the color on your shuttle should not be showing, it should be the internal, or core, thread. Instead the color showing should be the ball thread. The easiest way to do this is to make sure that you pull the shuttle thread tight as you work. If that internal thread is pulled tight the top thread will flip into the stitch. Not sure that makes sense :)
I just started tatting and I cannot figure out why I can't make a loop, every time I try to pull the shuttle thread to close the loop, it just knots and won't budge. Very frustrating!
Is there something I'm missing? thanks for your help!
