did this myself on my big toes. just keep in no more than 10,000 rpm, which requires one of the cheaper ones from wal mart. actually salons do have power sanders. the wife got tired of scrubbing her heals all day with a ped egg. I brought out my dremel and she loved it.
@babelovetown yes! i JUST got it done on monday! oh god how smooth my feet are now! but this person's not doing it right. at the salon they applied a type of acid to first help breakdown the tough skin. they then bagged my feet to trap in the heat and speed the process up. afterwards they took the bags off, dabbed off the excess acid and then dremmeled away. the sh!t that came off of my feet instead of flying all over the place just fell down. it was great. no more softball feet for me!
People use them for dog nails and such, probably the most useful thing you'll buy.
