Think Again: Gun Violence and Straw Purchasing

If Philadelphia is so sick of GUN violence, then why are'nt they sending their ILLEGAL gun users and possessors to jail? It is on philly's own record that these people are'nt being tried as often as they should. And when they are, they are given slaps on the wrist...even for repeat felons. Why are'nt they being tried? Why are they so soft on criminals? If you cannot address the problem in your court system, then you will NOT fix the problem.

Mr AG, I just want to know how you'll change the 'mindset' of these people? People with no concept of the sanctity of life, who'll kill for a pair of tennis shoes, for $3 in change, or even just for the fun of it. You can blame the violence on the guns if that makes you feel better, but it's not the guns, or the knives, or any other implement of death, it's the fact our society is turning out animals by the litter, just like stray dogs. How do you plan to fix that?

There's still a fatal flaw in the effort to control gun violence. You take away the guns and you're still left with the violence.
