I have listened to many of his sermons and I have always been impressed that he has truly been gifted by God. The idea he used of making a point in this sermon was brilliant, but I don't think it should have been done in this setting. Not in the house of God. God does not accept ANY kind of worship. Where is the scripture that says dancing is sin? If you listen to the whole message you would get a better understanding of the point he is trying to make. Instead you focus on an outward display of what you deem worldly. Matthew 7:1-6 is widely abused by unlearned church goers. That verse is about people who judge in hypocrisy which mean they practice the same sin the other person is doing.

As a matter of fact using secular illustrations is found throughout the bible such as Gen chapter 1, psalm 17 all are found in the Egyptian hyms to the Aten. Also look at Acts 17 where paul quotes Pegan poets (specificly verses 16-29) moreover read the whole chapter to understand its context since you feel that I'am unlearned.

I have listened to many of his sermons and I have always been impressed that he has truly been gifted by God. The idea he used of making a point in this sermon was brilliant, but I don't think it should have been done in this setting. Not in the house of God. God does not accept ANY kind of worship. I believe there is a scripture that says not to be (OF) the world even though we are (IN) the world. There is a separation. God is not of this world, sin, secular living lifestyle. I am talking to the hard core critics, if you didn't judge then I wasn't talking to you. I am speaking to those out there, who don't see beyond the traditional way of the word being spread. God had the Apostles adapt to spread the word. It tells us to sing, dance, and praise the Lord. There are all kinds of ways this can be done. I can believe no one should say this is wrong without knowing more of what the service is about in whole.

It dont work like that. Wisdom comes from God & you CAN NOT mix darkness & light together to spread the Gospel. Denying all ungodliness.ppl SHOULD be able to worship the Lord alone even w/o music. now that preacher in order to maintain the ppls attention he has to start what he finished and continue to invite wordly things to keep them coming and that is too much up keep, stress, and pressure for anyone to have to maintain. Now you got the preacher losing his way trying to save the ppl. Blind leading the blind. Not to mention its not of God. My people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge. Pray for that church most off pray for that preacher. My heart goes out to him.

Well, where in the Bible doe it say anything about using secular music? As you mentioned on the screen the bible doesn't anything about secular TV/cars, the bible doesnt say anything about usiong secular music either. As a matter of fact to the Jews of that time did not make a distinguishment between the secular and the sacred. Where is the scripture that says dancing is sin? If you listen to the whole message you would get a better understanding of the point he is trying to make. Instead you focus on an outward display of what you deem worldly. We have people filled with lust, liars, fornicators and all other sin in the church and because they come in and look "Holy" we are okay with that. I am so glad there is only one true Judge and that he is not as judgemental as church folk.

Matthew 7:1-6 is widely abused by unlearned church goers. That verse is about people who judge in hypocrisy which mean they practice the same sin the other person is doing.
It said "Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye".

As a matter of fact using secular illustrations is found throughout the bible such as Gen chapter 1, psalm 17 all are found in the Egyptian hyms to the Aten. Also look at Acts 17 where paul quotes Pegan poets (specificly verses 16-29) moreover read the whole chapter to understand its context since you feel that I'am unlearned.

Since you are an avid biblical scholar let me make some suggestions to you that should accompany you in your biblical research: The Bible knowledge commentary by Woolvard, IVP cultural background commentary by Craig Keener. These are only some. I have question are you aware that Matt 7:1-6 appear throughout the synoptic Gospels.

Some of the accused priest confessed to their atrocities with altar boys.
