Granted, it didn't help any that I let my ingrown toenail develop for so long without seeing anyone about it, it got really infected and such. If you have ingrown toenail get it taken care of ASAP, chances are it won't heal all on its own! Don't let it fester.

That's how mine looked after I let a GP tear the entire toenail out. It was horrible. Especially removing the bandage for the first time, all the blood was dried up and I had to peel it off, took me 30 minutes of crying in the bathtub, no amount of soaking would loosen it and I started bleeding all over. Well it grew back ingrown so I went to a podiatrist and he cut the sides out and stopped them from growing back, no problems, quicker healing and far less pain. Go to a podiatrist people!

Why did you get stitches? Anyways. I've had about 5 surgeries for the removal of ingrown toenails, one involved Cauterizing which was the worst pain in my entire life. It sucks.. The worst part is when you have to take the Gauze off for the first time and it pulls all the dry/dead/skin along with it, it sucks so bad.

Mine looked same. Do not get it done by a surgeon...seirously, i couldnt walk properly for 2 months.

I was told to have 'two panadol (paricetimal)' and I will be okay, 15ml of morphine later 3am awake, and shaking in unbareble pain, I was on the floor unable to move one step.

I had relatives carrying me everywhere...and had to see nurses everyday to replace bandages, and was one a long course of antibiotics.
