Hauling a westy with a westy on a steep, windy road

Yes, the bigger brakes are way better! What was VW thinking with the stock discs??? even my Syncro 16 has solid rotors that aren't much bigger than a stock syncros brakes.

USE LOW GEAR AND SAVE YOUR BRAKES! You should also have brakes on the trailer as well. At least you pulled over, it can be tough to tow a trailer in the mountains.

It was actually the engine burning a little oil, we were using a tow dolly to haul the westy, I since then upgraded to bigger vented brakes.
