Reno 911 is a sad and pathetic rip-off of a much, much better and earlier Canadian television show called "Trailer Park Boys." Reno is shit. Reno sucks ass, people!!
skyman, they are the same. you need to look beyond plot design and character development. both shows use the doc-comedy style, which was pioneered by the creators of the TPB and stolen by the creators of R911. The shows are identical...if you look deeply enough. TPB is so much better, though. RENO IS SO FUCKING LAME!! I have never watched Reno 911 until about two weeks ago so I don't mind the re-runs. I think the show is entertaining so I would like to take the time to thank you. Even though sometimes it is kind of gross. Then it is just more shocking than anything. I don't think shock factor is funny. I think people laugh because out of awkwardness. Humans will chuckle to break the silence. This makes me consider the content of what we watch a lot. We need to change the things we see for the better.

Well if the burger joint you obviously work at were to not pay you for taking orders from the drive thru only for the walk ins, that's what writers are dealing with.

The same thing needs to happen in the sweat shops of India and China.They do it for the standards that run to you and me.

he sounds too self-righteous and hypocritical, but i agree to a certain extent. youtube is a little better than tv. you don't have to watch commercials, and you constantly get to choose and discuss what you want. the people, to a large extent, not a few big conglomerates, create and rate the content. but it still is basically the same concept as tv, as it is staring at a screen for a prolonged time.
Why not, instead of focusing on WHO to blame, you focus on making yourself, your children, and those surrounding you more cultural and literate. I'm so sick of people pointing the finger at everyone but themselves. I love TV, and it would be ignorant of me to blame TV for the lack of intelligence in people's homes.

Reno 911 is a very funny show, but on the whole, I'm could care less if another tv show is ever made again. Television is a bullshit brainwashing tool, used by the corporate powers to endoctrinate children into product worship and tell you what to think & believe.
The owners of the major networks make nuclear bombs (westinghouse & GE)and pollute the earth like there is no tomorrow. If Hollywood fell off the face of the earth today, I'd say YAY!!!

Its a mock-reality based on Cops which is reality but played by actors who in turn need writers to write the material.
I like Reno 911 and for the people who think TV sucks thats all fine and good but the writers also write movies and I don't know one person who doesn't watch at least one movie. So the movies will be affected soon.
