F1 drivers should not rally.. Yes, they can drive fast but their's a hell of a lot of training to go with rallying..

You can't just jump out of a F1 car and into a rally can and expect not to have an accident..

I hope he gets better soon and can still drive in the F1 Championship..

every driver in rallying since its conception has crashed plus Kubicia's crash was a freak.

@SeanHickey1986 Kubica was rallying before F1 entry! He wasn't rallying for any titles, he was cautious and drove beautifully, winning a lot (often by a lot) in his S1600 class, being even faster than some S2000 or WRC cars. Everyone with a bit of brain knew there's a risk, but probability of such accident was really, really low. This rally sprint was just to test new car. It was a simple misjudgement and faulty (not properly installed) guard rail. Kubica paid the price for someone's negligence.

It sounds like he won't be making it to F1 this year, at least not until well into the season. I hear Renault is looking for an experienced driver to partner Petrov, since the team is hoping for wins this season. So it sounds like 3rd driver Senna won't be his replacement. I also doubt Hulkenberg or Di Grassi will take the seat. My best guess would be Heidfeld or possibly Villeneuve, someone who's got the experience to help develop Petrov. These two are the only two looking for seats that I know

This takes me back to Massa's accident in Hungary of 09, he made a good recovery, but he hasn't driven the same since. I sure hope Kubica makes an excellent recovery; I was looking forward to seeing him back on the track and back on the podium

@PLynnJr95 Yeah but Massa's face was re-arranged with his left eye permanently shifted out of possition which has screwed his co-ordination.

Kubica may never regain full use of his right hand but remember Jacques Villeneuve used to have a special steering wheel so he could change up & down with either hand, so as long as he can grip the wheel sufficiantly it shouldn't affect his driving. As long as he keeps his nerve of course.

Hopefully he'll be fine but i reakon he'll miss a few races.
