I bought a new transparent DIY 3x3x3 last month and it was very good. It cuts corners very well but it does have an occasional lock up here and there. I have dropped the cube before and noticed an inner crack in the puzzle that would not have been visible if this where not transparent.

all of the colored cubes (including black and white) are exactly the same, but the gold, silver, copper, glow in the dark, and transparent ones are a little different but still really good.
