Haku was a girl who claimed to be a man for multiple reasons. The first and foremost was to hide her identity from the tracker ninja that were after her and her leader Zabuza.
Most people think Haku was a boy, but the manga and anime both show multiple examples of Haku being a girl and lying about her identity.
But the shonen mangas...okay...but....okay nvm but what i read from the official Naruto site said Haku was a boy.....-___- and it was in the character profiles....eto....uhhh.....
First off, the mangas were poorly translated. Second, even with a good translation, Japanese has gender specific words for self reference, unlike English which has gender neutral words like "I" and "me". Haku used female specific words for self reference as well as one that can be used by boys or girls. This is lost in translation when going to English. Third, the English Naruto site is not official. It is made by Viz, which has been wrong many times. The profiles are also just a recap/guide.
The only canon sources at this time are the anime and manga, which are part of the actual series. Kishimoto would be too, but so far he has not referred to Haku as male or female. So that's that.

What "everyone" says is irrelevant. The fact is that Haku did have breasts. This is shown both in the manga and the anime. She looked like a girl no matter what age she was presented at (except as an infant which in that case you can't tell).
Your idea that a boy looked boyish while young and like a girl as he increased with age is illogical on its face. When a boy goes through puberty he looks more boyish not less. Less girly not more. Girls on the other hand look more girly and less boyish.
Oh so it's unknowable. So when people think Haku was a boy, it's common knowledge. But when I post facts proving she was a girl, then it's unknowable.

Now that fact you see no breasts is because in most cases Haku hides them. It is only in a few rare instances that they can be seen and I presented them in the hyperlink I sent you.

That, and it was her nindo, to deceive the opponent.
Also, it's a FACT that Haku was lying to Naruto when she said that.

Posing as a boy causes the opponent to overestimate the covert kunoichi's taijutsu abilities, which draws concern away from her ninjutsu abililities. Thus the opponent underestimates her ninjutsu (or genjutsu) abilities, which is what the kunoichi will use to defeat her opponent.
Also, remember that Haku was not the only female to pose as a male in the series.
I fully except Haku being a boy, but I was a bit surprised. Even before they showed his head, I was thinking ' who's that girl and why is she here?'(sorry Haku) His life is rather depressing, sometimes the whole anime is, though. I like the song, but the movie was a little pixelated.

If your theory were true, that Haku was a boy trying to look like a girl, then why the male style of speech? Why tell Naruto that "he" was a male when Naruto made it clear that he thought Haku was a girl? Shouldn't a "lady boy" want people to think he was a girl? Kimonos basicly look the same for all genders, it just depends on the colours and the style/patterns, and with styles it depends on the ocassion.. In fact that style that it shows is more of a Komon style; because of the repeated pattern..
Anyways. Haku is originaly a girl in the Japanese showings, but they changed her into a guy in the North American version..God knows why.

I'll say it again, he never loved Zabuza that way. People see a guy who cares about another guy whose not family and go: "wtf gay!" Haku wanted to feel usefull. Zabuza was a reason for him to not die. I'm sure if someone saved you from a slow and sad death, you'd care about them... Haku's not gay, if he was he would've been romantic with Zabuza, he saw Zabuza as his guardian. Haku clinged on to Zabuza because he was the only thing to care about him.
I am fairly certain that Haku is a girl. In several parts of the anime, you can tell that Haku has breasts. Some people will tell you that it is just a droop in her loose clothes but I say otherwise.
In a way, the writers DID say that Haku is a girl, just not directly. After Haku was beaten by Naruto, she stopped reffering to herself as a boy and started calling herself a 'person'. This is almost symbolic of how, when her mask fell off, her true identity was revealed.

There is no reason for Haku to lie about HIS identity, so seriously shut up, Haku was male.

Oh so it's unknowable. So when people think Haku was a boy, it's common knowledge. But when I post facts proving she was a girl, then it's unknowable.
This isn't a matter of "votes". It's a matter of what is true and what is false. Votes don't determine what the facts are.
Now that fact you see no breasts is because in most cases Haku hides them. It is only in a few rare instances that they can be seen and I presented them in the hyperlink I sent you.
Tayuya's breasts were also hidden.

Haku told Naruto that she was a man because she knew they'd meet again. She also knew that Naruto might have been able to connect his opponent with the girl he met in the woods. In such a case it would give Naruto true information about Haku, and that would only put Haku at risk of being captured by tracker ninja. Therefore it was necessary for her to misinform Naruto. That, and it was her nindo, to deceive the opponent.
Also, it's a FACT that Haku was lying to Naruto when she said that.

And no, Zabuza would not have loved Haku in a romantic way had she been a boy. This is because Zabuza planned on being a ruler of a land. For that he would need a queen, or at least a mother to provide him with strong offspring. Haku would have been that woman had she reached that age and Zabuza had won.

I'm not pretending. I do know about Zabuza. He wanted to rule over the land of water. Fact. In order to ensure that his bloodline remained in control of the land he earns, he would need a woman to have his children. Fact.
And I'm saying he DID have feelings for Haku, but that's because Haku was a girl. If Haku had been a boy then no romantic feelings could have existed because you can't create offspring with another male. And, a romantic relationship with a boy would have deterred followers.

In any case, how some people choose to spend their social lives is irrelevant. The fact of the matter is that Haku was still a girl, regardless of how many think otherwise or believe her character is attractive.
The 2.5% figure is based on national research data, and that is of gay males. Lesbians make up the other 2.5%. These are facts.

Actually it is an uncommon thing for a man to hold romatic feelings for a boy. But even in the case of two adult males having such feelings for each other, that is also uncommon. They make up 2.5% of the population, at best. This is irrelevant however, since the Naruto series can present whatever its creator wants. But the creator, Kishimoto, is opposed to homosexuality and he mocks homosexuals. He also used the word "fag" in the Naruto series to refer to Sakon. Did you know that?

Kunoichi typically have pitiful taijutsu, as Haku did. They compensate for this with stronger/craftier ninjutsu, which Haku also had. Posing as a boy causes the opponent to overestimate the covert kunoichi's taijutsu abilities, which draws concern away from her ninjutsu abililities. Thus the opponent underestimates her ninjutsu (or genjutsu) abilities, which is what the kunoichi will use to defeat her opponent.
Also, remember that Haku was not the only female to pose as a male in the series.

I fully except Haku being a boy, but I was a bit surprised. Even before they showed his head, I was thinking ' who's that girl and why is she here?'(sorry Haku) His life is rather depressing, sometimes the whole anime is, though. I like the song, but the movie was a little pixelated.

Well, not surprisingly, there is a major flaw in your perception. You condemn the facts, and as a result ignore the true purpose in Haku's role. In fact, Haku was not mistaken for a women at all. She was first presented wearing a mask so that her face could not be seen. Kakashi and the others assumed that she was male right from the start.

She claimed to be a man to Naruto, but she also claimed to be a tracker ninja as well. Yet I doubt you accept that lie as the truth.
Zabuza was talking to Kakashi when he said "take me to him". He knew Kakashi was under the impression that Haku was a boy. Therefore calling Haku "him" was more expediant for him to get to her.

If your theory were true, that Haku was a boy trying to look like a girl, then why the male style of speech? Why tell Naruto that "he" was a male when Naruto made it clear that he thought Haku was a girl? Shouldn't a "lady boy" want people to think he was a girl? So why contradict that once it has been acheived? You must see by now that your theory is illogical when held to the facts.

Kimonos basicly look the same for all genders, it just depends on the colours and the style/patterns, and with styles it depends on the ocassion.. In fact that style that it shows is more of a Komon style; because of the repeated pattern..
Anyways. Haku is originaly a girl in the Japanese showings, but they changed her into a guy in the North American version..God knows why.

I'll say it again, he never loved Zabuza that way. People see a guy who cares about another guy whose not family and go: "wtf gay!" Haku wanted to feel usefull. Zabuza was a reason for him to not die. I'm sure if someone saved you from a slow and sad death, you'd care about them... Haku's not gay, if he was he would've been romantic with Zabuza, he saw Zabuza as his guardian. Haku clinged on to Zabuza because he was the only thing to care about him.

I am fairly certain that Haku is a girl. In several parts of the anime, you can tell that Haku has breasts. Some people will tell you that it is just a droop in her loose clothes but I say otherwise.

In a way, the writers DID say that Haku is a girl, just not directly. After Haku was beaten by Naruto, she stopped reffering to herself as a boy and started calling herself a 'person'. This is almost symbolic of how, when her mask fell off, her true identity was revealed.

Cloezex, Haku's dressed like agirl for a reason... he's based off what Ninja's did in the past.
