I had most of the Fire by Nite videos (still do), and when they came out with back issue videos, I wanted to get them all, but didn't, and was later sorry, as they didn't offer them again after that. I remember seeing the guy who played "Word Nerd" and "Ty" ("in Family First") after a concert in Detroit.  He was like, "Yep...that was me..." He was really cool and down to earth. I miss Idle Cure also...

So awesome Ken Tamplin went on after the laundry detergent "Shout" sued the Christian band for using the same name. I suppose it was all good timing because the hair band generation was fading anyhow.

Wow!! I thought I was the only one who bought that tape. I looked scarlet red up a few months ago and that one album appears to be the only one they ever made. I really loved that song "Why" as well. I actually think its on youtube. I remember finding it somewhere. Im sure if you dig a little you'll find it. Good luck!!

As Christian rock bands go, these guys were extremely underrated. They wrote extremely solid rock songs, had the vocals and the playing prowess to compete with secular bands. It's too bad they weren't more popular.

This video is what was so great about the 80's. Guys with flair: big hair, big clothes, playing on a vast stage and backed up with real musicianship.

Larger than life. Which is what rock stars should be. Then the 90's hit and everyone thought it was cheesy so decided to dress like 15 yr olds, stand motionless, with NO flair or showmanship at all. Just acting & looking (and being) like any guy off the street.

And that was cool? Fuck that! Gimme rock stars that looked, acted & played like stars!
