i bought this phone yesterday and it is purple. it seems to be a very fine phone and it has every feature that a great phone would need. my question is how do i change it so that everytime i press a button it vibrates? my friend said that i must change the theme but ive tried all themes and it still does not vibrate..

ok look im pissed lol will somebody tell me how i get music on that phone it says install disc2phone i do that and is says repair program or sum shit i repair ad it does fuck all

all you have to do is plug the phone in using the usb cable, click file transfer on the phone, and then (if you have windows) a menu should pop up with the option "open folder to view files",then open the music file within the file that opens, and drag and drop music into it,there's no need for disc2phone...i hope that was clear enough x)

That happened with me as well. Do you have a memory card in it? With mine, until I got a memory card, I couldn't get music/pics/vids on to my computer (I don't know why)

If you do have a memory card then..um..I don't know why it's not working sorry!

aww man..im frustrated how come my s5001 doesnt change the menu layout when i choose day n night theme...probably bcos it's bought in australia huh..ughhh thats not fair mr sony ericsson!! overall a pretty functional phone though..easily beats blackberry pearl and iphone, functionality wise that is.

I'm in the US and I got the same email. However, I can't find the phone in none of the websites i usually buy my phones from. It could be that it is still early in the morning and they haven't updated their website yet. Anyone else from the US that got the email from SE stating the phone is now available? The differense from thi (s500i) and w580, is that w580 hav track id and is a walkman phone. The weght and the MG picz on the camera is the same... (2 MG)

S500i in black/green might be my next mobile.I wonder how this compares to Samsung U600 (which I guess is its main rival).To me, S500i is better-looking and is thicker (which is a good thing; no wobbliness).This IS a fashion mobile, so things like 3MP cam and 3G are not necessities.

People, you want 3G and 3-5MP cam? Buy a smart phone, buy a digital camera.Leave these fashion mobiles for us who need a nice-looking small mobile and not a mini-office.

I think the S500i is the nicest phone SE introduced in Londen. Both colour themes are fresh and cool, and I really liked the UI! Next week (may 16) a video of the new Motorola high-end handset, right after the press event in Londen. Stay tuned ;-)
