dont mean this to sound bad but i play hooker and she is not throwing that ball right at all, she needs to have both hands gripping the ball, one near the front, one near the back and she needs to make sure that the ball is high rather than into the chest. if she does this shell be able to throw it accurately and further. also if she is able to spin the ball properly it will make it easier to be gathered. check the bbc website for tips, its useful if you're struggling

The thrower, who had trouble with her throws all day, finally had a halfway decent one so I was trying to capture a good throw and the mechanics of her hand/wrists. Yes, the jumper was not very good but at the time, it was all the coach could do if I remember correclty.
but her grip placement at probably stance were all wrong, plus there was no power on the throw and therfore no spin or direction or height- and the jumpers went into the line so it should have been a penalty from that anyway

I don't really think Canada is "Shit" at rugby. For a primarily amateur side with a few pro players, they are actually quite good. You are right in saying that the states primarily care about American Football but it is what it is. Some of us here are trying to teach the sport and open up some doors.
That ball was straight, the jumper stepped in, be careful your don't close the gap two early. Your lifters need to get her up higher and the throw has to be a bit harder. If your lifters can get your jumper in front of their jumper, you'll win the ball all day and womens rugby isnt poor, it depends where you play it... In New Zealand we play hard and party hard and the skill level is high..by the way, not all rugby players are lesbians..lol

As usual when it comes to rugby the girls don't have the strength of guys but the technics are usually much better even at small level. Girls actually do what the coach is telling them to do.
