  • What tornado size (F1, F2 , F3 , F4 or F5) was the Willmar one?

  • This was the first tornado I ever saw in person, though I wasn't quite as close as the folks who made this video. Nice to have this "souvenir" of the experience.

  • Nothing ruins tornado footage like a big BANNER across the bottom of the screen!

  • what was it f4 or f5?

  • @datechydude It actually looks f3ish

  • @datechydude

    It was an EF3.

  • love

  • My house was next to where the tornado landed and evryone started running hahaha i didnt run .i shit my pants and stood still

  • i remember that tornado. It hit the case IH implement place and mangled alot of the tractors there

  • yes---willmar is a nice town. :)

  • Good capture !

  • is Willmar a nice town??I hope someone answer me!

  • How strong was the twister?

  • I think the twister was like an Ef2?? I'm not sure. The only good thing about this was that it happined to the west of the city's which is less populated.

  • ef3

  • i was so scared! And my dad spotted it from the golf course!

  • That was the first tornado I ever saw-I live on the north side of Willmar.

Willmar is lucky that thing didn't track any farther north than it did-1/2 mile north and there would've been major damage to Willmar.

  • I remember that! I was watching Kare11 (NBC) during the whole thing!

  • the sirens were late but everyone in willmar was prety prepared because that day had terrible weather. i remember i was at work and we knew something was going to happen we just didnt know when exactly!

  • nice video ty for sharing

  • Excellent video guys...Kudos

  • I can't believe the sirens are that late !

  • Your right, I even didnt get sirens, but I was in tornado warning area.

  • I've had them go off AFTER the storm was virtually over in my area once.

  • Willmar's Tornadic reponse time has ALOT left to be desired... Thus why I plan on becoming a trained spotter.

  • I think I remember hearing that the tornado was near Willmar for something like 15 minutes-the sirens obviously are set for something like 3 minutes. I live up by the college and heard the sirens go off at least five times during the time I watched the tornado.

  • it seems like that but this tornado was on the ground for quite some time.... the sirens are on a cycle so they were ringing like 10 min. before this... this tornado was shit scary i live in willmar.

  • @Glr31 the batteries are kinda dead because they are years old

  • I live in North West Montana we don't get tornadoes

  • not to wish it on you,but i live in sqv in cali lived here for 40 years never ever a tornado here til a few mouths ago.might be only a matter of time, they can happen anytime anywhere.

  • sooooo much willmar tornado. O.O

  • O.O;

  • I love the metal on glass broken windshield wiper blade noises...

  • o.e;

  • real nice footage

  • how stupid warning go off during the rope out .oh btw nice footage

  • Well, the siren started before touchdown, it just stopped for a some minutes.

  • Every time I went to the sunshine festival in Wilmar, there was ALWAYS severe weather, right around that time of year... tornado's every time...

btw, great time for the sirens to go off... when the tornado is dying down.

  • I know its scary but you guys are so lucky to film a monster tornado. awesome!

  • Your sound is a bit fucked up. Keeps cutting in and out.

  • I think I saw it go back up twice and this was the first one. If the video continued for about a minute, the tornado would've come back down...I think...

  • and then i felt stupid because it actually started to form an we could see it so close...we were almost as close as these guys were...its some scare shit if you dont know which way its going....i also recall that that bastard of a tornado disappeared a couple of times and reappeared about three times i have two videos of it im trying to post but one of them you dont see it that well and the second you see it but its not very long

  • i was there also i watched it touch down...i was on my way home from spicer and we were on the road that goes by casey and wells fargo towards priam....i was trying to scare my mom by saying there was a funnel cloud

  • They've rated it an EF-3 with 150 mph winds.

  • oh my god i'm so jealous i wanted to chase these storms soo bad!! :(

  • That was some tornado...I watched it from the north side of Willmar. Do you guys have any idea of the strength of that tornado?

  • Amazing Video !
