  • Wow really people come on it's just a song get your panties out of you ass and let it be...there is nothing wrong with the music.. most bands now use music that today's crowd likes so they listen to it.. as sad as it sounds that's how it is.... you can have the softest sounding sing ur heart out music/song but they can still talk about bad things.. I know.. they have Christian scremo bands but I'm sure you say it's devil music well if u listen what they say it's not.

  • @bobtheninja1990 Nothing wrong with the music? Yet your using foul language as a product? Hmmm, yah, I'd say that there is DEFINITELY something wrong with the music.

  • i just love this video! I will never step away from my ONE and ONLY God.

  • yo what up with the 2 dislikes, guess 2 peeps lost their soul, now thats not cool, not gonna lose me soul to material things not now not ever, i am doing this song for the talent show ant my school but i dont start untill 1:11 time cuz i am a 12 yr old girl, not a daddy whos in the mix or a husband who stays legit!

  • Toby Mac's music is a powerful ministry to the children of this generation. May God curse anyone that would cause one of His little ones to stumble.

  • @djquiz6425 the intent is not to have any child stumble. For a fact, it was STUMBLING on their part when they started to listen to this junk, its a goal to get kids AWAY from this garbage and into good real Christian music.

  • @jondabill1 i would take you seriously if you were talking about doctrine, but how can I take someone seriously when they call this song 'african sex music'? Does this music make you want to have sex? look, bad taste in music, if that is what we have, is NOT a sin. Why are you trying to force your brothers and sisters into praising God the way you want them to? Are these ideas biblical or man-made? Please quote a scripture to me that tells my why listening to this is bad for my soul.

  • @djquiz6425 Ok, doctrine. Satan was originally Lucifer in heaven guarding the throne of glory. He was in charge of the music in heaven, he played pipes. Now, God creates music, POSITIVE TRUTH. Satan comes along and perverts it, NEGATIVE TRUTH. Rock and rap "music's" roots started in Africa around a pagan jungle fire where orgies were part of their worship to THEIR "gods." So WHY introduce pagan music and put "Christian" words to it? That's not right. It creates a contempt....

  • @jondabill1 uhm, see? that's man-made doctrine. please quote the bible verses you got that from if its biblical. Its not pagan music. your exposing way to much ignorance for me to want to discuss this any further with you. May the Lord be judge between us. I'll pray for you brother.

  • @djquiz6425 How in the WORLD is what I just said "man made doctrine???" I DID quote the Bible in my post (!!!). Are you not familiar with Ezekiel 28:13? Or I John 2:15? Or Proverbs 21:29? Proverbs 6:17? What makes me your brother?

  • @djquiz6425 ...for the church which Jesus Christ set up. The Bible says "Love not THE WORLD, neither the things that are in the WORLD." A PROUD LOOK is something the Lord hates and this is SOMETHING that EVERY SINGLE "CHRISTIAN" and non Christian artist HAS, because that is the gospel of this age: to exalt self and not to let any bible believing Christian (like myself) tell YOU what you should or shouldn't do.

  • @jondabill1 Did you even listen to the words? do you know what the song is about? its about keeping his soul by not adopting the values of this world. Its totally about NOT loving the world. Are you just trolling or are you seriously that misinformed?

  • @djquiz6425 Yes, I listened to the words. Did you know that when Satan quotes scripture, he comes REALLY close, but ends up omitting words? Look at Luke 4:10. Who CARES what the words to this song is when the beat and the "music" is satanic!

  • @jondabill1 I keep picturing you as the soup nazi from Seinfeld yelling, 'NO WORSHIP FOR YOU!' stop being a praise nazi.

  • @jondabill1 and I'm still waiting for ANY Bible verse you can quote that has anything to do with forbidding ANY kind of music? Please stop trying to put words into God's mouth. You clearly need to read the Bible more because you are not familiar with His will. In Psalms it says each new generation should come up with new praises to the Lord.

  • @djquiz6425 I am aware that the Psalms says that the people are to sing unto the Lord a NEW song, but that doesn't mean you have to use African drum beats to do it, or put the latest music that appeals to the flesh with your words. The Lord has GUIDELINES for music: Colossians 3:16

  • I like this song. I go to an independent missionary Baptist church. NO RELATION TO SOUTHERN BAPTIST. This music would be frowned upon in my church. But the lord said to make a joyful noise. God made us all different. We all express ourselves differently. When those old church hymns were written I bet the music of that day sounded similar and I bet those were not the songs that King David was dancing naked in the streets too. God does not change, but the times and people do.

  • @HAMMEROFTHOR68 That's right, people and times DO change. They degenerate into apostasy and Laodicean philosophy.

  • @jondabill1 So what kind of music do you listen to? And again I will say, Do you think the older music is what they were singing 1,2, 3 thousand years ago. On whose authority is the music "approved" by? The Lord wants peoples souls saved not for Christians to be arguing or debating. Jesus intended there to be one church, His Church. This sort of stuff and disagreement over the scripture is why there are so many denominations.

  • @HAMMEROFTHOR68 I listen to hymns, chamber music, german classical, old time folk, bluegrass, and occasionally a good new song comes out every now and then. The music that people sang 1,2, and 3 thousand years would be "older music," yes! (haha, what kind of question was that?!?) The Lord is interested in people getting saved, yes, I agree, but once your saved, THEN what? Anything goes? Correction: disagreement is not why there are so many denominations. The real reason?....

  • @HAMMEROFTHOR68 ...Because people have not held the scripture as their final authority in all matters of faith and practice, and what is keeping the church from joining together is people's reliance on their "religious EXPERIENCE," and their unwillingness to give up what God wants them to give up because the individual is COMFORTABLE with their sin. That old hymn said, "I'm PRESSING on the UPWARD way, new heights I'm gaining every day!"

  • @jondabill1 NO, once saved anything does not go. We should "TRY" and live a sinless life to the best of our ability. There is no way we can do it, but then you and I know that's why Christ had to come. I'm glad that we can keep this civil, by no means did I intend to come on here and start an argument with a brother or sister in Christ. And I know if the music is not glorifying God, we should stay away and separate ourselves from it.

  • @HAMMEROFTHOR68 to me some gospel sounds like country, bluegrass and folk, which also has a non-christian based type of music. Some of it I like and some I don't. I sometimes listen to an alternative (no heavy or thrash metal stuff) some of it I like and some I don't. The point though is, if it's going to glorify God or not. How do we know for sure what style of music God prefers? As long as he gets the glory.

  • @HAMMEROFTHOR68 Therein is the problem of modern Christianity: ignorance! "How do we know what style of music God prefers?" By its ROOT and its FRUIT! That's the Bible way. Bluegrass started out pure and holy, the MUSIC we are talking about, not lyrics. RAP has always been about rebellion, intent for vengeance, anger, pride, self is better than others, and comes from Africa, as does the beats of rock music which finds it's ROOT in Africa around a tribal pagan dance.

  • @HAMMEROFTHOR68 God get's "the glory" FIRST through the MUSIC (Bach) and THEN the lyrics. FIRST the MUSIC! Get the music RIGHT. THEN get the words right. The music of Bach and Handel accompanied the German and Protestant reformations and are so intertwined by historians as to be one and the same, that one couldn't survive without the other. And MOST of that music didn't HAVE words to it.

  • @jondabill1 I understand and respect that answer brother. I'll keep that in mind the next time the question comes up. God Bless and have a good day.

  • ahhh!!! Iove me some God songs.

  • Rap promotes PRIDE...nothing Christian about it!

  • @jondabill1 Try telling that to Toby Mac and all the other amazing christian artists! So you are saying that all these wonderful artists are singing satan songs?

  • @FrozenHoofBeats I would if I had their address. Tell me, chapter and verse please, where you find the term "Christian ARTIST" in the scripture. It's not there. Compare this to And Can It Be, Saved By the Blood, and Christ Returneth. There IS NO comparison. One's life and peace, the other is bondage to the world.

  • @jondabill1 So from what you are saying you are doubting them being christian it the first place? Tell me chapter and verse in the bible where it says "Rap promotes pride". All i know is back in the day hymns were once considered bad and churches would not even sing them.People who sang hymns in thier churches were considered rebel rousers. Now hyms have become a regular part of worship and a lot of them are amazing. So don't go attacking these songs.

  • @FrozenHoofBeats I didn't say that they weren't Christians at all. You didn't provide the verse where the term "Christian ARTIST" is found. Figures. Now, the Bible doesn't say "RAP promotes pride" since RAP "music" came along WAY after 1611 when the King James came out, but here are some references to check out: Proverbs 21:4; Proverbs 21:29 (that's a REAL good one!); Proverbs 6:17- to name a few. Can I please have a historical reference so I can check your info on hymns?

  • @jondabill1 dude i must say this is ignorant all music if it promotes pride will bring pride this promotes god which floods you soul with god

  • @godschild989 I agree that this "music" promotes "god," it just isn't the God of the Bible, its another "god," perhaps the god of this world.

  • @jondabill1 and that proves you dont know the bible this song is called lose your soul talking about why gain the whole world if you are jus going to loser your soik my scripture that was the exact words from jesus check yourself before you wreck yourself

  • @godschild989 cool lingo, but this "music" set to these words is like Bill Clinton saying that he "did not have sexual relations with that woman." lol. It don't mean a thing. The words say one thing and the "artist" and the "music" say something completely different. The Bible says, "Come out from among them (the world) and be ye SEPARATE!" We can't be like the world, and this "music" is as worldly as it gets.

  • @jondabill1 Dang my apology , i didnt know you knew toby personally how foolish of me >.>, you odnt know anything ive acually met this guy at forward 2011 so i know hes for real for christ you just judging without knowing , my friend you need to get some praying done because you dont know anything

  • @godschild989 Another "Christian" who knows ZILCH about the term "judge." It's true that you are not to judge someone's SALVATION, and I didn't do that. BUT, "he is that is spiritual JUDGETH all THINGS." Also, the verse says, "...judge righteous judgement." The Christian is to judge the world, whether the THINGS they do are what they OUGHT to be doing. NO Christian OUGHT to take part in the unholy life of rock and rap music. Adding the term "Christian" means nothing.

  • @jondabill1 I think that you just don't like the style of music. The Holy Spirit speaks to me through this song, so... whatever yo. Be honest.. just because you don't like it doesn't mean that it doesn't glorify God. If u listen to the words and understand the message, then you would understand that the whole song is about not going along with the values of this world.

  • @djquiz6425 Your right, I don't like the style of music. I am prejudiced against african sex music put to Christian words. Once again, the sound is a sound of WAR and rebellion, not of obedience to God and doing his complete will.

  • @jondabill1 you're racist aren't you. s'ok, Jesus still loves you

  • @djquiz6425 That has to be about the most silliest non-related comments EVER. Congrats.

  • Very grateful for this song, I use to dj and music was such a big part of my life. This song has made me consider playing music again, but for Jesus this time. Much Love...
