  • Tender Dreams ...sailing ships ...Peole on the moon (not you Newt) dreaming the dreams I dream ...can I stand the cold?

  • Long ago and far away I put my two year old daughter in the stool, pulled it up to the kitchen counter and put this song on. "This is James Taylor," I told her, "He's one of Daddy's favorites." As the song played her eyes brimmed with tears which soon overflowed. That touched my heart. She is grown now, She doesn't cry much anymore... but now I do. Crazy life.

  • Long ago and Far away...

    !!!!!!STAR WARS!!!!!!

  • funny... "no title".... "not even an ending yet." Joni Mitchel was on the final cut.

  • Happy "19th" Janie...knowing you now was worth the wait.

    Your dear Pilot Allen.

  • and bits of broken glass~~~such an artist...

  • nice song 2 thumbs UP

  • I've already posted here previously but I felt I must repost. James is a gifted artist and, agree with his life choices or not, he has a very basic, emotional and sincere message that any and all of us should be able to identify with at one time or another. Here's hoping you have an opportunity to truly enjoy James before you no longer have the opportunity to.

  • I just love his early voice tonal quality. I have been a fan since his first album and when I hear him sing these songs so early in his career, I am just amazed at his talent so early in his life. I'm happy he was willing to share it with us all.

  • so treasured !

  • Wow! It's been sooooo long since I heard this--maybe 38 years; seem like I remember a woman background vocal echoing. ("where did the rainbows end")His voice is still golden!

  • @purlofgreatprice1 . In the original studio recordingThe 'woman' in the background singing "where did the rainbows end".....is no other than Joni Mitchell and the very distinctive piano style was of Carole King's. I believe there is a third woman on background vocals who could be either Linda Ronstadt or Emmy Lou Harris. This combination of so many talents in one relatively short song makes this one of his finest...IMHO.

  • This ended up being the second single from the album Mud Slide Slim And The Blue Horizon.

  • beautiful

  • Remarkable.....and though you dont always get what you want you make the best with what you have and theres always your dreams....James you are the legend who has proven that.

  • I like this but the earl klugh guitar version is better

  • where is the golden rainbows end

  • beatiful....beatiful...beatiful....

  • Década de 70 maravilhosa, música dos Beatles, cantada também pelo ótimo Johnny Mathis, canção fantástica !!! James Taylor inesquecível !!!

  • Make You Bleed

Every time I want see you

I know I have to dream

    Because the absolution

    makes me cold

And I want to punch you

    In the mouth

    M.S. Morrison

  • Thank-you so much for posting this. We are so used to seeing such polished performances from JT these days its great to see again the shy young man we remember from the beginning. Having recently seen Ben Taylor, I now know why he reminded me of his Dad so much.

  • I loved this song for most of my life, and it has been hard to find.

  • Why was this song left off the first Greatest Hits album if it was recorded in 1971?

  • Beautiful and meaningful song. I've had the opportunity to see James and Carol King live back in the days in Honolulu. Class act !!!
