although real Caballé fan: it's not a matter of really beautiful voice but the lack of deepness; this special German deepness (not darkness!) is expressed by German performance note "getragen" which is absolutely necessary at Im Abendrot

Elisabeth Schwarzkopf was right. Caballe has no idea at all and I hope that dear Ms Schwarzkopf has never listended to the voice of Caballé..
