@dudefrombelgium If the principles of "Kung Fu' are applied to fighting and trained for combat, instead of display, it can be very good. Most are in reality just dancing. I trained in traditional and modern Kung Fu styles for over 30 years, btw. I like Kung Fu a lot. And same for MMA bouts, it is sport entertainment, with rules. But if any martial artist trains for actual combat they will be better off than someone that doesn't train in martial arts.

I'd personally like to see more old time catch wrestling and dirty boxing, some old time weapons along with old time body weight exercises added. Then it will be a truly awesome style, like it was up to the 1800's. Western martial arts do have a long history too. U.F.C. type stuff really is sports entertainment, though.
