Sounds great. A Flowmaster 50 delta flow and Magnaflow Hi-flow catalytic converter are very reasonable in price, and will give you a great sound. Had them on my 93 ZJ with inline 6, planning on doing the same setup on my 99 WJ 4.7L V8
dude. I have a 03 WJ with the 4.0 in it. I want it to have a rumble sound like a muscle car lol. What all do I need to do and what muffler should I install? text the answer at 719 648 8716 please. I really want to know and no i am not looking for a girl as I am married.
I have a 1989 jeep cherokee limited with a 3'' lift an 31'' inch tires cold air intake and all of that good junk,PLUS a flowmaster, definant performance.
and no you will alwayz love that rumbly sound when you first start is up in the morning and driving around town,It can be an attention getter,I have a flowmaster on mine,it's mre like a low rumbly tone than a high pitch with nothing to show for you know what i mean?
im hopeing to get my jeep to sound just like this... its a 99 grand cherokee laredo its a 4.0 with a straight 6 cylinder but yea iv been really looking into the flowmaster exhaust systems... i just dont want it sounding ricy or anything like some of them do but yours sounds real nice...anyway bro thanks for the vid
I have the same truck and I'm having alot of trouble finding a Header... the older cherokee's had tube header design manifolds... I'm wanting a good aftermarket big tube header.. but I can't find anyone who makes one!! Do You Know of anywhere to get one??? I've wondered what mine would sound like with a flowmaster and your's sounds great!! Good Job!!!
im about to put this same exact exhaust on my grand cherokee, but im also running a high flow cat. i was wondering if you noticed a difference in the performance at all?
damn sounds great i am bout to put that same exhaust on my grand cherokee i was wondering was size muffler ends you used like 2inch, 2-1/2inch, or 3inch?
i have the exact same jeep as you do, except mines blue..i have the taillight cover and everything..right now its all stock..how much did all of the stuff (muffler & intake) run you? can you tell the power difference any?
iv heard the more miles on the engine the louder the exhaust gets. i dont know if its true though. could be true though cause the compresion of the pistons get a little less which makes a more poppy sound.
hey .. yea well my best guess then is go with what i got. Flowmaster 50 Series Delta Flow. i acutally have stock piping too just replaced the muffler. so i mean if u do exactly as i did then well u get the sound i have. but ya my best guess is get that muffler for that sound. i think 40 will be a lil more racey. still sound good but a tad bit more like ricey
Hey i have an 04 grand wit a gibson catback (hate it) im gonna get a flowmaster muffler with a downpipe right after it. Im stuck between the super 40 and the 50 series but it seems like this doesnt idle too loudly
hey man. nice dude... well yea this idles nicely.. not to loud i like the way it sounds. i think my only worry with it a 40 is u get less deep sound and start soundin 6 cylinderish.. but im not sure positivly. do u want louder or more of a deeper tone? cuz im tellin ya when this thing drives away i can still here goin down the road for a lil while.
ha yea.. i wouldnt recommend doing that. i really dont see why people change out for new piiping unless they want larger. but i mean i dont think its nessasary. and yea i noticed a bit of power gain. like low end power i would say and more passing power. but i also have the k&n fipk air intake whcih really helps too so its hard to tell how much is the muffler. but ya i can almost guarantee that u would notice a little bit of a differnce at least
i do have the k&n intake already so i should be good with that. awesome thanks for helping....how did you get the extra pipe from the muffler to the rest of the exhaust? did you just buy it or did you have a shop do it or what?
oh sweet man than ya u should sound like mine if u go with the 50 delta flow. yea i had the shop do it.. they just added it there. i didnt do the muffler install just cuz i wanted it done right u know
no im joking about bein 2 and a half feet long im just sayin the stock muffler is long ass hell thanks good to know i was gonna dump $400 on a borla cat back and this sounds pretty good
nice man. and nah i just replaced the stock muffler .. the only not stock piping is the piping that we needed to add becasue the flowmaster is shorter than the stock one. but the rest ya is just stock piping. wati wat do u mean urs is 2 and half feet long
so is it just a muffler? or is it a cat-back system? sounds really good btw

i love the Jeep 4.0L. most V6's sound like ricers at high RPMs, but the 4.0L sounds really crisp

Nice, But I was wondering, what should I buy If I want a much louder exhaust, should I buy Flowmaster 70 with 2"
???
abudobaib 3 years ago
thanks. um no if u want louder u def dont want that. ud want either a FM 40 or 44. and like 2.25 or 2.50 piping
PJNovinskee27 3 years ago
what about if you just keep your stock piping just a 40 flow master would that make a big difference
zxdr2 2 years ago
umm yeah. well heres the deal if u want louder than mine i suggest the 44 or 40. but i dont know how it will sound.. if it will be too ricy
PJNovinskee27 2 years ago
do you think the cold air intake made a big difference to the exhaust package ...
zxdr2 2 years ago
well in sound it made the jeep overall louder. in power.... i think the intake does more than the exhaust
PJNovinskee27 2 years ago
i got a 2002 wj with the I6 and i put a 44 on it and it sounds great. i have videos posted up if you want an idea of what it sounds like.

Cut off the cat and go with the Super 44 muffler it sounds like a mustang
