if gypsy in turky dance like this, and gypsy in spain not like this and gypsy in ramania not like that, obviously this is not a gypsy dance, it is a turkish, middle eastern dance, very close to the oldest dance of the middle east called dabke, and the kinda new one is started around 1960's I think, it is greek and called zorba. this dance and intruments are so arabian/persian in general middle east origins.

AyeYirMa - Romani is her ethnic origin - same as "gypsy", though that term is not necessarily a good one. The style of music/dance she is doing here is Havasi, a Romani style that is not something you typically see in belly dance. The only way to differentiate the styles is to watch tons of performance and listen to tons of music knowing what it is an example of so you can study it. I've been doing this for 5 years or so and I still encounter things all the time that I can't yet identify!

You know I think she may get better but she never does. It is as if she is trying to understand the beat and but falls flat, has that lost deer look on her face. What is the she doing here? Not bellydancing. The problem with the heels is that the dancer cannot properly execute her movement depth well and the dance looks flatter.
