i wasn't 100% on what to make of this movie until these last two parts. i think it is a great one! does anybody know if the black-white man who became a human being is historically factual? i'd love to know who this person was, and maybe watch a film about him.

I've got a degree in cultural anthropology, and its a fact that effeminate men and homosexuals were accepted in the way that that the character in this movie was in many native cultures. a lot of this movie has well researched backgrounds. This has been well studied.

@jaikwillis If your referring to Berdache your correct and they were easily accepted and integrated into the native american lifetsyle in much the same way that we would recognize greecian males to be. the berdache were not nearly as characterized as was portrayed in this film however, they were fully female by functional appearance, but your absolutely correct.
