While Raj gets very emotional about his personal choice that is what being portrayed here. In many other occasions Sheldon has somewhat ruthlessly said what is fact he does not care about what one may think or not. Sheldon is an extraordinary character, Jim Parsons won award for his portrayal of Sheldon.
The comments here look funny to me, it is not about the song having right. The makers got the song wrong, because it is American TV. The actors are not even watching TV for real. In the show Sheldon is always right and it is talk about bollywood in general. The makers give a damn to have the song right. Sheldon's comment is form his knowledge he is not saying after watching the TV.
They could have watched Devdas and compaired them side-by-side on the screen. A.R. is more pretty, but M.D. is the better actress. So, both are partially right.
