The late 50's and 60's was and will always be the finest music. Lets face it, what still keeps getting played yep the 50'sand 60's. Present day music is rubbish performed by crap groups and singers.
since i was as young as i can remember like 10 or so ive been listing to this music ,music this century is all coped off of these great oldies and completely destroyed
Aaaaah great Oo... But to all the people out there... Of course modern music is great... but you have to search far away from the charts.
It doesn't make the music actually bad, when >>I<< don't like it! ... But I must agree, that there're some stuff out there, which makes it difficult to find the music and the art in it^^
@moviebuff2010 you got that right..not that stupid shit rap... this is the best thing that you could listen 2 all my life this is wat i listen 2...my and my father loves that i listen to it...and im only 16...i love old songs like from 40's 50's 60's 70's
I grew up listening to my mom and dad's old 45's. Such awesome memories .This was a favorite. I'm 43 now and both my parents are gone but I still have their records. They live on through the music.
Its a shame how this music is no longer whats being recorded today. I mean, its so much more original. /the music from this time is just happy and up-beat and everyone loves it :)
When i was 9 my dad gave me a tape with amazing old songs and i remember this one, Im 18 now and still love this! I hardly even listen to new "music" I take a History of Rock N Roll class now that im in college and thank my dad for showing me such awesome music at a young age
every generation has its own music...welcome to ours, enjoy it cuz the shit your kids listen too will make you cry....hahaha..kidding kids, we love you.
@david24821 That's why the music in the 1950's was so undeveloped, because people couldn't even write their own songs. They had to go the lame Elvis Presley way and have it written for them, they also didn't play the instruments. Thank god for the Beatles cause then we got music instead of a bunch of corporate crap shoved down our throats. This song is good, but the music of the time is far below the standard of any decade after it's music, and the albums are littered with filler songs.
Here's a place in time that society forgot. When music was cool, groovy & innocent. Lyrics were clean and people were pure and unspoiled. Unlike today how media serves our kids a bunch of FILTH where lyrics of gang-sta rap & hip-hop are full of profanity, recording artists are horny sexual beings portrayed in videos & pop stars are admired for getting in trouble with the law - WHAT kind of CRAP is that ?? Just citing how societal erosion is deteriorating the very fabric that holds us together.
What I love about the 60s music like this great classic is the great backing vocal harmonies and orchestral arrangements that sadly, you dont get often on songs in these difficult times .
I'm 14, and all day today I've been listening to music from the '50s, '60s, '70s, and '80s. It makes me truly sad that music isn't this great these days.
@PedersW but luckily there's a group called the baseballs who do cover's of modern songs 2 make them more 50's/rockin, they do stuff like umbrella, hot 'n' cold, born this way, poker face, angels, dont cha, etc. cehck em out
@PedersW Good for you!!!!!!!!!!!! I was like that in High School back in the 80's too, Besides listening to 80's I was also getting into music from the 50's, 60's and 70's. Some people thought I was weird but good is good not matter how old. I did get some people into Little Richatd.
@PedersW It is nowhere near as good. I'm 20 and since 7 I've been lamenting the fact that the radio doesn't sound like my Dad's vinyl collection. A lot of great music not played on the radio. Just need to look for it. I personally endorse the band Best Coast and their song "When I'm With You" Also "Wetsuit" by The Vaccines. I could recommend you tons of songs.
@PedersW Are you sure you would have listened to this music when you had lived in the times it was new and modern as dubstep is nowadays ? in the past it had not this nostalgic feeling as now.
@NakiZakimaru okay, but there are so much actual songs and music styles, in which there are no cusses.
And rock'n'roll was since its appearance associated with drugs, violence and sexuality, so that people back there interpreted it as thread for the moral and good habits, as destructive and i guess a lot of people were the opinion that this is no real music.

I miss them so much, and thank God for the opportunities life has given me to interact with, love, befriend, laugh with, cry with, and gaze upon so many beautiful girls and women. At the risk of sounding crazy, I honestly feel I have had an absolutely miraculous and wonderful life. Same for you?
Another great one, thank you so much, I was born in the 60es and my dad had all those 45's and LP's, although we live in Belgium and speak french, my sis and I were raised listening to all those melodies :o)
From the 50's to some of the 90's.. tahts my music genre. The shit which they play these days isn't music. THIS is music. where you can hear the lyrics and it's not about sex! I'm 18.. and love stuff like this <3
@gingenicola Tons of great bands and artists around now. Just because they don't recieve much radio play doesn't mean they don't exist. I recomend Best Coast, Two Wounded Birds and The Vaccines if you like old 50's vibe things
It's amazing that still exist people with sixteen years old that like this kind of music. These were the times when great music was done. Sweet 16. Not Justin Bieber's thingies. Love the classics always :))
@JazzyD97 That's because they don't make them like this anymore. The world was different then. We were secure, in love, prosperous....things were good. Not at all like it is today.
@JazzyD97 Yes Boobby Vee was just one of many great singers around in the 50s and 60s, I'm 63 and wouldn't have missed it for anything. Days of real music.

Trata bien a mi nena..
I really love Mr. Bobby Vee .. he is just wonderful and I really admire the way he performs his songs.. this catchy tune by the wonderful Miss Carole King is his signature song..
I was 11 or 12. Starting to realize there was a difference between girls and boys. Used to go public skating at the local arena. Would go like hell when this song was played. Then I asked a girl I had an eye on to skate with me...... She said YES. WOW!. Asked her again the next week . She said.... NO. OW. OW. OW !
My dad used to hold me while singing and dancin to this when I was a baby to make me go to sleep.:) A favourite of my childhood.

Trata bien a mi nena..

I was 11 or 12. Starting to realize there was a difference between girls and boys. Used to go public skating at the local arena. Would go like hell when this song was played. Then I asked a girl I had an eye on to skate with me...... She said YES. WOW!. Asked her again the next week . She said.... NO. OW. OW. OW !
