Underrated episode. There's a lot of hidden subtext here too, for example when Christina states "we would have been great together!". Thing is, they would have, or more so, they were supposed to be, but the Doctor had become weary and this was his biggest mistake. If he had traveled with Christina there's a good chance he would still be the 10th Doctor.

@Worley1987 No...David left on his own accord. He left because wanted to leave while he was on top and he didnt want people to want him to leave.

@Worley1987 his regeneration inside the tardis was crucial to the timeline. That is how his tardis crashed in Amy's backyard. His adventures with Rory and Amy ended up creating River. So yeah, the master leaving the bolt running was a crucial step.
