  • annata? are you that anti-islam troll from gametrailers forums?

  • @annata12 annata? are you that anti-islam troll from gametrailers forums?

  • Mashallah........after watching this i soo.. wish that i was a part of this and many other gatherings like this.........Jazakallah for the video......

  • aww how about us canadians who don\'t get to have bayyinah? HMmmmmm

  • i have seen some really missed up Muslims, really scary. I have meet some great Muslims too. really great.

  • @glower125 how do you define great muslim ?

  • CALCULUS IS TOUGH!

  • "there was a muslim youth group that was messed up because they used to play basketball and eat out at restaurants" --- whats wrong with these activities for young kids, especially when they are with other muslims?? it is almost as if he is saying any sort of non religious activity will lead to alcohol, drugs, or clubs, etc.

"if he's kicked out of the mosque - he'll go to the club" --- this statement is just too extreme - he sounds like a fobby parent!!

  • @ubshaifs1 being a young muslim that was on the wrong path until recently myself I can understand what brother nouman is saying especially when most religous figures in the community treat youngers in a condensing manner it does put some kids off from the masjid altogether

  • he's such an intelligent man, why couldn't he think of a better term for muslim youth in need of guidance, instead of continuously referring to them as "messed up youth" - -i think he sounds too judgmental, egotistical at times.

  • @ubshaifs1 , I do not think he meant for it to come across as judgemental but just laying it out as it is. There are messed up youth out there and there is no need to sugar coat it. It forces those kids to look more critical at themselves. If we want to better ourselves, our youth and our communities we must be critical and consistent.

  • @ubshaifs1

    Assalamualikum

Messed up is accurate, I don't think he sounds egotistical at all.

  • one of the best speakers ive ever listened to , he is so practicle and does not have a narrow mentality like some other speakers, MASHALLAH MASHALLAH!

  • salam brother shekh nouman. I am arab and I follow your lectures in english. :-)

    baraka Allaho fik shekh.

  • What chapter of the Qu'ran is the Ayat at 30:13 in? Does anyone know? And the Ayat number? Thanks.

    Masha'allah brillaint talk!

  • @clinical14 Al-Imran (3) ayats 102-104

  • SubhanAllah..just took the words right out of my mouth. Left me laughing, crying, and simply amazed. JazakAllah Khair so much for uploading this. I needed this SO much.

  • ASA. Nice talk. However, it is part of the culture of communication that sadly plagues America in general, as linguist Dr. Deborah Tannen wrote about in her book, "THE ARGUMENT CULTURE: Moving From Debate to Dialogue."

    JAK.

  • genius. . . .just pure genius

  • I like this guy really much and I listened and still listen to many of his discussions.

He is really intelligent, is able to tell things and make them clear in a very good way.

But I just didn't like the point when he talked about the shia (25.40).

He shows really clear that he doesn't like them. Exactly he shouldnt behave like that. I felt a bit affected, because of his facial expression. Still he is an amazing speeker and thinker;)

  • @gene156ful Assalaam Alikum. I think he was really just trying to make a point about not arguing with your parents. I think that he was trying to find a true example that most of the audience could relate to, and most of the audience, at least the live audience, is suni. I don't think he doesn't like shias or was trying to say it's okay to make fun of them.

  • @xclusiv4321

    Ws,

    I think you're right=))

I saw some other vids of him and I don't think he's that type of guy. Allah (swt) bless him for his work.

  • @gene156ful

    Assalamualaikum

Things can't be lovy dovy. We can't accept people who wrong themselves to such an extent and see it as acceptable. There is an argument between how many prayers there are in tarawih. And than there is the argument between the majority of Muslim and those who follow an incredibly deviated sect.

  • "For our families, the institution now has become youtube. For the women in the house right now, they need to get hooked on some of the stuff that's available now. Some of it is really really good. Really, really good"

    ahem

this was really really good mashAllah

    jazakAllah khair for the upload!

  • hello guys , are you a tabligh like Pakistan, Bangladish and India doing, mashaAllah, are you supporting them in the way they do or not. reply me a.s.a.p. , specially br. Nouman Ali khan,

  • @gunboundahya whats wrong with tabligh of Pakistan? I'm just enquiring, I'm not one...

  • I'm confused: if we are all about including people and being fair, giving benefit of the doubt and NOT stereotyping why then does he then rail on Shi'a? Is this what he means by being an Ambassador of Islam? Make fun of other Muslims who don't subscribe to exactly what he says? Astaghfirullah! Hold on to the rope of Allah and do not divide among yourselves, indeed.

  • he wasnt stereotyping an individual..he was saying as a whole because shiaa beliefs are different to sunni beliefs

  • Comment removed

  • @MsInfomaven This is a very good point. I had a lot of respect for this brother until he made that comment about Shi'ah. In the beginning he says that if a fellow muslim says Shahadah then that is enough to not question their aqeedah...and then he makes this kind of joke?! It is a total disservice to his purpose and message and a mark of hypocrisy.

  • @silentvigilante786 - Thanks for sharing your opinion. I have attended Br Khan's workshops in person. He is an intelligence & amazing educator. Picking on other Muslims' aqeedah negates the overall point. It shows lack of judgment in public speaking as well as poor edeb. I think it's very important for public speakers to seek Unity is Islam rather than creating further division. Here in USA it's "us" believers against a secular society,we really need to stick together for the sake of Allah

  • Shia aren't the same, 8 vs. 20 tarawih is not the same as Shia Quranist Barelvi vs. Islam.

  • @MsInfomaven

    Assalamualaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh

How are you going to unite with Sahaba cursers? The majority should be united, these guys are so far off there isn't any help unless they abandon their Shiasm for actual Islam. Minor differences like how many tarawih are different from Shia vs. Sunni.

  • so true.

  • i love this man, mashallah

  • nouman ali khan rulzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!

  • May Allah subhanahu wataala protect you and increase you in faith and knowledge ... we are here to support you on this effort inshAllah ... Allah almusta3aan ... Ameen

  • masha'allah!

  • May Allah reward this brother, he is simply BRILLIANT!

  • Mash'Allah

May Allah Subhanhu wa Ta'ala reward him and be pleased with him

    Subhan'Allah

i come from a non-practising/ex-Muslim family and i jst let them be and was bitter towards them..now i undersetand my purpose is to teach them Alhamdulillah...Insha'Allah i'll try

and Insha'Allah i'll keep trying to control my anger in arguements with my family

  • I KNOw

mine think all muslims are terrorists??!!!

  • @LondonStarr5

    Check it:

    w ww.an archa dia.co m

  • @LondonStarr5 your comment was posted 11 months ago. how are u doing with the da'wa, now? :)

  • @guardali1 thanks for asking

alhamdulillah, by the grace and mercy and help of Allah AzzawaJall, things are much better than i could have everrr anticipated ...Allahu Akbar

in terms of dawah however... i pray that Allah guides them but i can't do much in terms of talking to them about it...insha'Allah i improve my actions and that can convey the message .. insha'Allah

but alhamdulillah i have an uncle who was at least willing to learn so i sent him some links...so alhamdulillah for that. salam

  • @LondonStarr5 I'm an atheist (19 years old) but over the past year i've had a lot of thoughts which have brought me to looking into islam, my whole view of the world has changed, disagreeing with western society and it's ways. I have tried to explain this and teach my parents, but i have realised sometimes it's best to leave it alone as living in a western country parents can not deal with religion conflicting with their western lives, along with all the pointless stresses in this awful society

  • jazak'Allah kheir.

  • I wana add something to brother Nouman's lecture... Its my experience that in America youth takes religion more like fashion than Deen. I been to Islamic brotherhood outside of the U.S. The bond and love I felt overseas couldn't felt here in U.S. Maybe as he said its more like gang war than brotherhood! :'(

  • Brother Nauman Ali Khan the Bayshore Ping Pong champion :)

  • Nouman Ali Khan is where its at!!!!!!! I wish we could have more speakers like him.

  • every young muslim should watch this!! its sooo true!! jazjak all khair for this video and jakak allah khair br. Nouman ali khan

  • Oh and Jazakallahu Khairan for posting this. May Allah bless you.

it is just that they dont wanna bother

also, brother has noor on the face

    :)

    wish i was him..

  • 20:43

haha " AMREEKA" thts "america" pronounced in a pakistani way.

    im pakistani thts y i know..=)

  • This guy is very smart and speaks through very broad perspective. Mashallah. very helpful lecture man.

  • Tabligh's methods are direct and hard hitting, just like those Jehovah Witness' traveling missionary. But better.

  • LOL we have a "Starbucks" like setting in our masjid for both sisters and brothers. But no one is there, only during Ramadan. Mostly cuz our Masjid is closed most of the time.

  • Why is it closed all the time?

  • I have NO idea....the ppl in charge are extremely stupid? lol

  • Absolutely amazing!!!!!

On of the best lectures ever heard!!!

All the problems addressed in the video...HAH my community is going through ittt LOL

    YES its verry sadddd :'(

  • Very relevant lecture. Most of the guidelines br. Nauman Ali mentioned are practised upon in the blessed effort of Tabligh. Alhamdulillah.

  • lecture was all the way full of knowledge and a very gud in approach, but i have a little to say about that before getting into guide others we shud have mold our own personality according to islam so that others automatically get influenced and follow us. Islam no doubt the best religion of the world and so,but the practitioners means we are not practicing it on our own self, we shud implement all the sunnah of Hazrat Mohammad PBUH and obey all the farz beside that we shud be a gud human first

  • lecture was all the way full of knowledge and a very gud in approach, but i have a little to say about that before getting into guide others we shud have mold our own personality according to islam so that others automatically get influenced and follow us. • I guess I am the minority opinion on this matter. Our job is to warn and give good news, NOT to guide. Allah is the guide. I do not recall the Prophet going to places of ill-repute to spread islam. Nor do I see evidence of the companions visiting people after they conquered the lands with Islam.

I see better that we should strive to be good muslims, be kind and considerate. Be willing to tell anyone about Islam, and try to exemplify the beauty of Islam

But Allah is the One who guides.

  • That's actually a well thought out argument, but you can't possibly compare the situation of our Prophet (saaw) and the companions with ours. Everyone flocked to the Prophet and he was the ultimate foundation for the community. Same with the companions, even though after the death of the Prophet there might've been some problems, but there was still a huge presence of solid, dedicated Muslims.

Nowadays, people are "leaving by the floodgates" as the sheikh said, we're the weakest we've ever been.

  • and absolutely Allah is the one who guides, that's not our business. Our business is that from our end we have to do the most we can then leave the rest to Allah (swt). Nowadays, "doing the most we can" might involve finding our fellow Muslim brethren in those places, and also taking them under our wing and trying our best with them.

  • Mashallah, Jazakallah khair ! I can honestly say that i have been in more than a few situations this brother described in his "Rant". Most of it is definitely in accord with reality. May Allah subhanwatallah bless him and give us young muslims patience to be kind to our parents and strangers. Pe@ce

  • excellent!! one of the best lectures i've ever heard .. so relevant .. may Allah (swt) reward him

  • mashallah this guy is amazing. is he avaiable to be a guest speaker at JEB Stuart MSA? anyone have any contact from him?

  • masha'Allah sh. nouman is amazing. i love how he talks to us, and not at us. he makes so much sense and is so practical. jazakallah khair for posting this video!

  • This guy is a genius! He talks about the reality of the world and compares it with relativity. Mashallah! He knows what he is talking about. Keeps me interest and pondering about the details!

  • jazakum Allah khair for sharing this lecture with us...please its a kind request that upload these lectures in parts because it becomes very difficult for me to listen to an hour duration lecture...jazakallah khair

  • Masha'Allah! A good lecture indeed, very true! Br. Nouman keep up the good work, may Allah (swt) reward your efforts, Ameen!

  • MashaaAllaah.. brother Nouman's ideas reflect his depth of thought and also his concern for the ummah. He is inshaaAllaah someone who has gone beyond just the apparent aspect of knowledge and has tasted its true essence. May Allaah help him and guide him in his endeavors.

  • Really I see no reason to ruin my iman for jahil people unless they are serious about becoming better muslims. And Allah knows best!

  • Are the jahil people not people worth saving too? It's not us who guides but the Allah.

  • It is not your job to save anyone. This is a christian concept....as in the term Jesus Saves! Yea Jesus saves a lot of money with Geico, that's about it.

In the sirah the muslim community was mostly insular with companions sending trained delegates for dawah to present Islam in a prolific and convincing manner.

What I hear today is brothers and sisters talking to these "messed up muslims" to "help" them and in turn become more corrupt.

  • And many times as I have seem it's the habit for these "messed up muslims" to waste time with questions that they really don't have but just want to throw out to make you look like a fool. Some of them want to destroy your intellectual understanding, your morality, and some of them are so sick they want to destroy your honour. They will bet with one another if they can get with a hijabi and have sex with her. Or a girl will for the sake of her ego harm a good muslim shabab with a beard.

  • Not every muslim engaged in every type of da'wah. There was certain type of da'wah only the imamas can do, like the debate of Imam Abu Hanifa with various people who tried to disprove Islam. If you have his intellectual capacity and ability to speak, then yes by all means engage.

  • It is the duty of every muslim to spread the message of islam to non muslims.

be it non muslims or messed up muslims.. i been a messed up muslim and Alahmdulillah.. Allah guided me !

  • If you remove the middle youth by making them more religious than the messed up youth become isolated among themselves and harm one another or are harmed by kuffar. Which then causes them pain which causes them a desire to come in the middle. After which the bracket of messed up youth becomes smaller and smaller. This is a safer way to do this. A lot of good muslim brothers and sisters have been ruined trying to help the messed up youth. Better to be safe than sorry.

  • Also, I think the idea is for the religious youth to work more on the middle youth. If you decrease the gap of the middle youth, you create a heavy polarization of muslim youth in a safe way. It is a lot safer and easier to work with the middle youth than the messed up youth. Infact there is even a hierarchy. The messed up youth affect the middle youth in a negative many times harming them before they come to the religious youth.

  • I have some issues with what brother nauman has said. You can't always go into the places of fitna and do da'wah. The consequences are that you may harm your iman. Like some brothers who talk to sisters to give them dawah have become corrupted at time ruining their family life. Honestly the people who can undertake such a dawah are people who are older and highly purified by Allah. People who have under gone severe trials by Allah. This is not for your resident scholars to undertake.

  • I agree Rovert93. He is one of my FAVs too

  • One of the best rants ive ever heard...

    May Allah bless brother Nouman

  • brother nouman is one of my favorite speakers. he adresses topics taht are actually relevant and he does it in a very interesting fasion. mashallah keep up the good work.

  • Masha Allah this brother is awesome!

    (¸.•*´(¸.•*´♥`*•.¸)`*•.¸ )

  • this was very good and true! lets make a change inshallah

  • jazak Allah khair

  • mashallah this is an amazing speech.

  • Masha'Allah great video

  • mashallah amazing talk.

  • awesomely interesting.

  • One time a black Muslim brother was praying in a masjid, he had three-quarter length trousers on and the desi uncles ''leaders'' of the masijid kept looking at him, then telling him its wrong to wear that, in fact its right because it covers your knees. he told them so but they wouldn't listen, and then he left by saying, you know your all racist.

I think our masjids across the western world need ambassadors that speak English fluently, we need that times are changing, as Islam is coming back!

  • We aslo need to understant in the US most muslims are black and that alot of these cultural traditions have nothing to do with Islam and totally nothing to do with culture.I personally as a muslin I don't really get into the hadiths too tough because they're not infallible. I'm a qu'ranite muslim and I follow the sunnah. But as a black man in the US i'm very leary of non-American muslims coming over here acting like they're better when theyre countries are hell-holes for the most part!

  • As salaamu Alykum,

What do you mean by ahadith being "infallible"? The ahadith corpus are narrations conveying the Prophet did, said, allowed, forbid, etc. The Prophet was infallible (in major situations), so IN A SENSE ahadith are infallible. If you are talking about the preservation of Ahadith, than yes, they are also preserved because 1) Allah promised its preservation by reffering to the Ahadith as dhikr, etc. 2) The ahadith complilation started around the same time of Qur'an compilation

  • @aWORLDofDECEPTION Good example of culture taking precedent

  • MahshAllah Tabarakalah!

  • who's this brother ??

    hes so right

    gzah allah kher

  • Brother Nouman Ali

  • SalaamAlaikum, Alhamdulillah thanks for posting the video , MASHALLAH .

May ALLAH guide us All , Ameen.

  • jazakallah khair brother nouman keep up the good work
