This is a Norwegian folk tune. The title is exactly as it is in the video, Ringnesen, which means nose ring. I think it is probably for oxen. The duration is probably about 40 seconds. I play it twice thru. I am the artist, Inna Larsen, but anyone with basic violin experience can play this.
hey i have a question; who the artist of the song, wat's the titel of the sogn and how long is the dure of the song?? Already thnx ! p.s. it's for a school project :)
This is the way all the Norwegians who come to the Hardanger fiddle association meetings play it. It is not a tricky tune, just a simple reinlender. There's really not much I can do to make it fancy. Also bear in mind that this is an instructional video, so it's designed to be slow and understandible to anyone who wants to learn this tune by year. You can post your video response, so that we could see your way of playing it. It will be useful to folks to see 2 different versions. Tusen takk

hehehe now I've seen it all :D
Not too shabby playing tho.. Hardingfele is a difficult instrument to master because you have to be extremely precise to make it sound good.
