this part was done a a quick demo of how easily the program could be created. Cutting the part was an afterthought, and the stock was just thrown on the machine with what was there. It was never intended to run again, or serve any purpose other than to show the ease of part creating and setup. And at the end of the day it did just that, may not be pretty, but it got the job done!

Sorry, but that is quite possibly the worst set-up I've seen for round stock.
Why not just use a 4 jaw chuck in the middle of the rotary table?
