My 11 year old at 10 topped out at 61 MPH, he consistently throws at 57-59mph has major control of his 2 seam, throws a change at about 46-48 MPH with control... he is a catcher by the way only pitch him when they need a huge out or three outs, he topped out in a tournament this year with a 65mph 2 seam.

I played L.L years back and had a kid with a cannon take us all the way to the L.L world series.had great control.i guess he was around this kids age.We didnt have radar gund at little league.but rumor was when he went to ceder point and did the radar pitch game.he was clocked at 78.Dont know how true that was.but i beleive it.he threw absolute smoke

@zachishellacool you are right. i spent all summer at tournaments all over Iowa. I used my radar gun to to check the speed of over 100 different pitchers from 11 years old to 13years old. I found 1 kid who was 6'2" and he topped out at 72 in the first inning. After that inning he dropped down to mid to upper 60's. Most of the good 12u pitchers are mid to low 60's. A lot or most of 12u pitchers are high 50's. I just uploaded a new video of my son practicing pitching. He is pitching 67-69.

Good stuff! For all you chiming in with kids that pitch 75 I call B.S.. My son throws in the 58-62 mph and can tell you for a fact that that speed at 11 is faster than 99% of 11 yr olds out there. Christ the 13 yr olds in the LL world series are topping out at 73! Keep it up and with the addition of a pitching coach and being blessed with a strong arm the skies the limit.

I am thirteen and my dad got that very same radar gun to see how hard I throw and it is a consistent but low gun. I top of on it at 66 even though when my dad borrowed his friend's accurate gun I average 69 and get up to 72. So the point I'm making to all you people who are saying that he throws slow he's really not because I'm willing to bet that the 62 mph pitch was at least 65 in real life which isn't bad for an eleven year old.

Nice. If you watch the video -- one notices that when he gets his arm slot correct, and comes over the top, throwing downhill on an straight axis, that is when he pumps up to 62. Very solid lower body mechanics. He's a big boy. Very impressive.
