if this was set up to run a generator you can use an electric heater or even power an HHO generator and use the hydrogen from that.. a perpetual motion machine
The burner is fueled by petrol. I fill the tank half-full of fuel, then, using a bicycle pump pressurize it to 20-25 lbs. The coil has to be heated, then crack the valve and the vaporize fuel will light.
Much of my model steam information comes from the book Model Engineering by Henry Greenly. This book is offered through Lindsay Publications.
I've been friends with Lee for twenty years, and I'm still amazed by his tenacity. I tell you, if there were a way to make a Fusion Reactor out of pvc pipe, bailing wire, duct tape, and other stuff from the home depot, he would have already done it. And all this was done with no real machine tools. I've seen him bust up scrap aluminum, toss it in a homemade smelter made of a trash can and a hair dryer, and cast parts in beach sand that he finished on a drill press. Great Job, old friend.
take the fucking music off!!!

can you give me a link to a websight that shows how to make the oiler?

nice project, I'm really amazed !!!

Do you initially create a pressure in the oil container, so it flows out?
If yes, what pressure is that? I assume that's what the pressure gauge is for...

Simply great!!!That looks so nice and is such a great working model...
I wish I'd be able to do that myself... But I don't have enough tools to do so. Great!!!

Don't they use the same typer of gasoline burner on the old stanley steam cars? Very nice by the way!
delorean60 2 years ago
Some of the steam cars have vaporizing burners, but I think they use kerosine instead of gasoline.

Beautiful engine, the wooden boiler jacketing is a nice touch.

Thank you. The wood adds to the appearance and also acts as insulation.
