I really like editors, they have a unique sound. But at the end of the day, they are all trying to emulate what coldplay have done. But no-one will ever do that. Coldplay are untouchable to be fair.

Its difficult not to reflect some style or format of another artist in today's music world.

I said what they've done, not emulate them entirely. The lead of editors said it himself, the album is more "epic" than the back room. This has got to be a direct consequence of other bands changing their style, an example being coldplay's style.

whatever comments people want to make, the editors are one of the best alt rock bands around at the moment and this album is brill!

i really hate the way "alternative" male bands try and make out like they have a different politics or aesthetics (like having girls dancing awkwardly borrowing their look from high fashion, rather than girls in hot pants borrowing their moves from stripping) but in the end, its always boys singing or playing instruments who don't have to be particularly goodlooking, and pretty girls providing the visuals.
