  • i would like to try but I am afraid of training my fish to start nibbling my corals, they will think now the corals are producing food for them, but your tank looks nice obvious you know what your doing.. Great video

  • @Balomega mmm, Thanks! it really depends on what kinds of fish you have.

  • Holllyyyy cooowwww I LOVE THIS TANK!! Great work and keeep it up! What is the white coral???

  • @emochild1996 It's a flower pot.

  • ??Frogspawns eat mysis?!

  • @PlayerXevic yep.

  • I like the video and here i thought those corals were filter feeders! and they will feed on some thing like phytoplankton or cyclops. I never feed my corals directly like that and they are doing good, i feed only anemones and some corals that have a mouth.

  • @Balomega no way, my friend, their more than what we think of them.

  • @OMGCichlidsFTW OK, may be i should start to feeding my corals differently now.

    thanks

  • nice tank dude :)

  • @Kevin53863 Thanks dude!

  • That's a beautiful tank!!

  • @alonofer20 Thanks!

  • how often do you feed your corals?

  • @HighFishies 4 days.

  • Well, newyorksteelo said it so it must be the gospel.

  • @papablev yep

  • Tang police!

  • @Fishkeeper96 I put all the tangs and all the life into my new 300 gallon! So quit hating! It's people like you that made me stop posting youtube.

  • where u get this mysis shrimp ? i bought it at $15

  • @jennyhuang832 That's pretty expensive... I bought mines at my LFS.

  • your not supposed to rinse it because it removes a lot of nutrients from the food

  • @mrswagerondeckk Actaully, Newyorksteelo did this method also and since brine shrimp has not that much nutrients it doesn't really effect anything really. I also feed them tons of different kinds of food also.

  • What was it about this tank that made it hard to maintain?

  • @Hythe1000 Alot... I put too many fish because this is my first tank and the smaller the water of tank the more harder. If you were to pour something bad in your tank then it wouldn't spread as fast than a bigger tank. So that's why it's always best to get a bigger tank. I also wanted a bigger tank because it's so fun :].

  • It's an excellent and well managed aquarium. A very interesting video too. Thanks

  • @Hythe1000 Thanks! I don't manage this tank anymore because it was very hard to maintain. Now I have a 300 gallon fully stocked with SPS.

  • It's an excellent and e

  • water change every 4 days DaMMMMM i havnt done 1 in over 4 months still got 0 NO3 and PO4

  • @K0Riley Nice, Well it depends how much live stock and how big your tank is. I now have a 300 gallon and haven't did a water change in months =].

  • do you feed once a day? what would be reccomended? thanks.

  • @Implacable17 Hi! Your post to feed them once a week =]. Target feeding is one of the best ways to feed your corals!

  • @ImSoUniqu3 np my friend

  • @ImSoUniqu3 The one with strips? that's a sailfin tang

  • I have a 30 gallon but the temperature fluxuates from 78 - 80 throughout the day and night. Do you think I can get a tang or will it get stressed and get ich? I was wanting a blue hippo but is the yellow an easier one to keep.

Note: I don't have a chiller if that matters...

    Thanks!

  • @TheDeltaFlight Haha, yeah tangs are nice to keep, Don't worry about the chiller or temperature. That doesn't matter. The thing that matters is that you have to keep feeding the tangs and you must keep you nitrates very low. With this tank I did water changes every 4 days and you should always be checking on nitrates in your aquarium. Like I said temperature isn't that important but it has to be 76-79 I would get like a small little fan to help, but smaller tanks don't need a chiller. Good luck!

  • How many gallons is this? And thanks, this is gonna help when i get my tank finished.

  • @wowelbion This is just a 12 gallon nano! I wouldn't recommend you putting as many fish as I did! Only professionals can do this! They know what they are doing also. If you are getting a nano I recommend you getting most is like 3-4 fish. (Not tangs) :) Now I moved everything to the new 200 gallon tank! Check out my channel to see them :D

  • How many gallons is this?

  • @stevethomas277 Thanks!

  • Hi I fine that my fish get all the food and the corals do not get any! What do you do to stop this

  • @TheSqueaky71 Make sure your give your fish some food first and while the food disracts them then just give it to the corals quickly. It's okay if the corals won't get it. They will get it slowly. But if you can't do that trick then get pytoplankton, thats what I do. It is really micro and the corals just love it! It will swim all over your tank.
