It doesn't matter if you're working a 300 million dollar epic historical war movie, or a 1 million dollar independent drama, long hours and stressful periods, repeated takes and disagreements can get to boiling point. Yes, the director is being unprofessional here. But people often act irrational and aggressive when under stress. All part of the job.
