@cursedswordsman Doesn't really come down to angle or what drum teacher you got, it's all personal preference, I think. There's no right way to angle stuff. For instance, my tom isn't angled because I don't like the stick to come back at me when I hit it. Keeping them relatively flat allows me to sweep through and connect with whatever without being slowed down by the stick responding to the angle. To each his own though!
