@Gatz22 I have it. It's basically the same exact thing just in different colors. It doesn't have the handgun or swords, but that's about it. So anything he says here is applicable to it. Strangely, the moving knee fin actually makes it inaccurate to to the new rebuild movies it appears in.

@juanex4080 The renewal has a few upgrades in terms of the head looking, up, weopons and stuff. It's nothing too major but since they are both ludicrously priced in the aftermarket it may put you off from buying either.

Is this the same scale as 1/100 MG Gundams?

@sernycorp They are slightly bigger but NOT in the same scale. Evas are roughly depicted as being 80 meters tall, with the average Gundam being about 18 meters depending on the Gundam. These would be 1/400 scale, making them in scale with big high grade kits like the dendrobium or ptolemaios.

@sernycorp They are the same size, but the model kit is not as poseable or detailed as this. You're better of with the soul of chogokin spec if you can find it for a reasonable price. However, don't get the normal soul of chokogin as it isn't as good as either of them.

I had no idea that you were deaf in real life and from your comment, I inferred that you didn't watch the first part of the review as if you did, the differences between the two figures can be seen clearly from the presentation itself, for instance, the armor is removable and die cast, a ton of accessories, etc... and is a near Masterpiece level figure. While the Robot Damashii is a regular small scale action figure.

And is expecting a package on Monday with my 400% Sync Ratio and XS-08 Evangelions. Once I acquire the XS-01R sometime in the future (Probably after I acquire the Rereleased RD Gawain.) and the XS-13 Awakening version... I'll have EVERY single SOC Spec Evangelion (Minus the terrible XS-01). Of course, save the Positron Rifle, Actar beat me to it. XD

Wow, I assume you mean the look alone of the MR figure because the material quality, accuracy, and ability to hold poses is pathetic. I could barely believe it was a Bandai product... All of the imaginary detail is cool, but comes at a cost. I would much rather have the Soul Spec's solidity and anime accuracy...

I was originally going to get two of the MR figures so I could pose one with the F-type armor and one without, but after changing out the F armor, I scrapped that idea..

Well The PG Limited coating edition is the best in the world! Has the same features Recommend to EXPERT model builder. It has the Prog knife in fin and its the actual knife. DO NOT PLAY WITH IT ITS VERY FRAGILE! But i guess if you cant afford the PG Limited edition then you can resort to SOC SPEC Eva-01 Renewal.

I own the Perfect Grade Eva 01 and its better than this one except one thing, which is the fact you can't have it fully unarmored. This one does look better for the price though, and I'm afraid to move the PG one incase a piece comes off, so its going to be posed in one position for life.
