As far as the cannon on the show is concerned, they are simply best friends, but there is a lot of subtext betweem them that us slashers pick up on. It's a good show, you should watch it.
There's as much evidence that they're gay as that they're straight. It's your assumption versus ours ... it's not the only way to look at them. After Don't Ever Change, I'd say the weight of evidence is on our side. :)
Neither... They're best friends but people ship them. In the actual show Wilson has had multiple wives and he has cheated on them for various reasons with other women, who tend to gravitate toward him. The song is perfect for him.
It's an amazing show.. you should watch it (rent the old DVDs firsst...) unless you get squeamish easily.
