  • hey, did they put you on blood thinners while you were on bedrest.. I give you a lot of credit, you seem calm.. how did you feel when you had preclampsia?

  • HOW in heavnes could you be so calm about everything??

I have Premature Atrials, it's a kind of an arrythmia and i take antiarrythmics. Some days i feel this skipped heart beat and starts to race a little and my blood pressure gets high... and i get very worried about everything. I i were in your place i would be having anxiety attacks every day. Wow u are a very strong woman! I wanna be like you haha!

  • My 24 hour urine collection protein count was 2700. As she said, the max is 300. That was about 3 weeks ago I'll be at 36 weeks on Tues., at which point, they will perform an amnio to see if baby's lungs are fully developed. If they are, I will deliver Wed. via C Section. My Dr. says he is surprised I have made it this far. Thank you, God!

  • hey! hope you nd baby r doing okay =)

  • Thank you, we are... really just the same... I was told last Friday that I would have him this Friday...we will see (-:

  • Well for having a lot of symptoms you are really positive and happy still which is good for you and the baby! Thanks for the update! Cant wait to see him!

  • Thank you! Me too!!!

  • I hope everything goes well sudko word finds movies and i am doing baby projects

  • Thank you!

The baby projects are the best!!!

  • These seizures can occur at any time in the second half of the pregnancyin 1974, a case of eclampsia at 16 weeks was reported in the Journal of the American Medical Association. At the other extremeone case has been reported as late as 3 weeks after delivery.

Left untreated, eclamptic seizures can result in coma, brain damage, and possibly maternal or infant death.

  • Thank you so much!

Kinda freaky- that would be why I havent done any reading about it (-:

  • These convulsions, which lead to temporary loss of consciousness, look no different from epileptic fitsthe spasms stop the mother from breathing, make her bite her tongue and sometimes cause urinary incontinence

Eclamptic fits usually occur as a third-stage complication of severe pre-eclampsia. But sometimes they arise out of the blue, without any evidence of preceding disturbances

  • Eclampsia is one of the most serious complications of severe preeclampsia. In the developed world, it is exceedingly rare and nearly always treatable if appropriate intervention is promptly sought. According to Pre-Eclampsia: The Facts (Redman, Walker, copyright 92),

Pre-eclampsia is so named because it was originally identified as a disorder preceding eclampsia, although it is now known that eclamptic convulsions is only one of the several potential complications of the disease.

  • Hey girl this is what i found out about the difference between the both, i hope it helps!

  • ok sweetie, hang in there. Just try to relax and try to enjoy it a little, it may be the last "me" time you will have for a very long time......wishing you the best and I will be checking on you!

  • Thank you... yeah, soon enough I wont have to worry about being bored ever again (-:

  • Hay Jeni, I hope your doing ok. You asked me what the magnesium sulfate was and why it was horrible. It is an anti-seizure drug that they give women with high blood pressure because you are at risk of seizures with HBP, BUT IT makes you feel HORRIBLE. I couldnt hardly enjoy my baby after because of that silly drug. But of course if the doc gives it to you then its for a good reason. I will refuse it this time though, thats just for me.

  • They told me about it yesterday... I really hope not to have it... as long as I stay down my pressure does too... so I am hoping that things stay good there (-:

    Thank you for the info.!

  • Good to hear that things are going good now! What an ordeal! lol I sometime see those shooting star lights and it freaks me out but my blood pressure has always been fine, I get period cramps from now and then it gets me wondering... I would like to know for sure what contractions feel like!

Your going to have him soon?!!? How great! I hope I go soon too!

  • Yeah, I was told that the "period cramps" are contractions... I had no clue!

  • good luck to you also

  • you should get a diary started on bedrest and write about your feelings before you have him, and maybe scrap book so when you bring him home you can put new photos in ect...read some more books on their 1st year, and just get into a really good tv show, from week 5-15 i bled non stop and couldnt do anythingbut lay on left side so i know how annoying it is!! but its worth it for the babys =) i got 11 weeks to go and i can't wait. Good luck can';t wait to see your little boy =)

  • Thanks a good idea... I love scrapbooking... I just wish I could sit up long enough to do it! The journal is a great idea! Thank you!

Yeah, you have it wayyyyyy worse! I couldn't imagine, how scary but you're right- it's all worth it for the babies (-:

    Thanks again!

  • I see spots now & it get a lil bur and then but they mostly happen when am very hot so far I haven't have them.But.. my blood pressure alwayz be low.I hope u be ok

  • How strange... I would be sure to tell your Dr.!

  • i love your videos your so funny

  • Thanks (-:

  • In the background around 5:12 it sounds like the dog is drinking from the toilet!!!! LOL!!!!!!!

  • LOL, he was!!!! Yeah, I don't even notice it when it's happening...

  • aww i hope everythings going to be ok, ha im 39weeks and still waiting for this baby!! you might have your boy before me!!!

  • Well, I hope you have yours first! Best of luck with your L&D!!! I will be thinking of you!

  • Hi Sweetie! What a crazy week for you but thank you so much for sharing this with us first timers! Can you make a video to show what you and your husband packed for the hospital? I am struggling over what to take! Best wishes to you and baby Deacon!

  • I am going to try... it all depends on how tomorrow goes. There are so many videos I want to make- especially now that I have soooooo much time... hopefully soon I will be able to make some (-:

  • It's so lovely to see you keeping positive and upbeat!! Well done, hun! Sending loads of happy wishes and hugs your way xoxo

  • Thank you so much!!!!

  • love ur positive attitude!! if i were u, ill b panicing! maybe cuz im not fully prepared just yet for my baby's arrival. BUT at the same time its exciting!!!!! hopefully ull have an easy n safe delivery.

  • Thank you so much... I really just look on the bright side... I'm home (vs. hospitalized), hes still with me (not in the NICU), etc. I have so many things to be greatful for that there is no need to worry.

Preparing for the baby is so much fun! Best of luck with it all!!!

  • I love ur positive, upbeat outlook on life :) But your totally right, there is always an upside- a silver lining :) It takes a very mature and amazing person to see things that way... Wen my son was born so sick all i culd see was the bad, all the negative... I think things wuld have been so much easier if id had ur wisdom :) Your already an awesome Mother!

  • Thats so sweet, thank you!

Its so easy to see all the bad- but really things could ALWAYS be worse... you just have to count your blessings and be thankful for what you do have.

  • I hope this all goes well for you hun... I kno that Pre Eclampsia can turn bad really quick and id hate that to happen :( My friend actually almost died from it when her daughter was born 5yrs agao so i hope hes out before it gets to anywhere near that stage of severity... Good luck hun, you will be holing him SO soon!!! OMG!!!

  • Thank you, I can't wait to have him here!

It is scary but I havent done any reading or anything on it... I am being so closely monitored that theres no reason to get more worked up over it... when it's all said and done then I might look into it.... lol... kinda sounds like denial (-:

  • omg, sounds like things are craaaaazy with your pregnancy, Your going to get trough it though and Deacon is going to be so precious and you will forget all about this I'm sure, well hopefully lol... I'm so excited, I can't wait to see Deacon and hear about your l&d... good luck on going into labor!!!

  • Thank you so much! I'm really not too worried about the preeclampisa... it is what it is... I am just looking forward to my son- whatever happens in the meantime will be forgotten about- thank goodness! (-:

  • yea I would feel the same way! Good luck, hope everything goes good for you this week!

  • My blood pressure did that AFTER my pregnancy. I would stand up or get upset and my head would start POUNDING.. It was awful. I hope you get better soo =)

  • Really? wow... I hope it didn't last long!

  • Around 6 weeks.

  • Glad to see your being positive about the whole situation, not long now till you're holding Deacon!! I can't wait to see him, you're gorgeous so I know he'll be adorbale!

I too am on Labetalol for my high BP, and Aldomet. I have to take 8 tabs a day, argh!

Really looking forward to your updates sweetie, take care and rest up!!

    xxx

  • aww... thank you so much! Thats so sweet!

It's so nice to hear that so many other people are on the Labetalol... although I wish that none of us had to be on it, it's just nice to know that it is common.

    Thank you so much!

  • wow! so much progress and so much has happened! I'm glad to see you so positive about everything! You seem to have a great medical team helping you through all of this! I hope Deacon comes on his own and that you won't have to get induced!!! I'm excited that he may be here soon and will definitely keep you guys in my prayers!!!! Good luck with everything!

  • Thank you so much! I hope all is going well with you! I've been having lots of contractions so I am hoping that he really does come on his own in the next week or two... that would be ideal! (-:

  • I hope everything goes well and that you do go into labor on your own. If they induce you, you will have to stay in bed the whole time while in labor. let's hope your baby comes on his own...fingers cross.

  • Yeah... thats the sucky part- I really don't want that... we will see... its so hard to say at this point. I am looking forward to going back tomorrow!

  • Aww. That's why they "induced" me because Liam wasn't getting ready like Deacon is. They gave me one dose of Cervadil @ like 7pm, didn't work so they were going to wait to try again at 7am the next morning but I went into labor naturally at 2am. I was also the same way, I'd be at the doctors and they'd talk about induction and I'd cringe and get home and be like aww they didn't induce me lol. Good luck! He'll be here soon.

  • lol, okay, so I'm not the only one like that (-: thank you! I feel crazy but when I'm home I want him soooo bad and when I'm there I just want to go home pregnant... it's so weird!

How far along were you when they induced you?

  • I was 39 weeks. My blood pressure the day they decided to induce me was off the charts & didn't go down much after laying on my left side. They wouldn't tell me what my BP was.

  • How annoying that they wouldn't tell you! 39 weeks is so good though!

  • im on bed rest also, i just go on line, read do puzzles not much 2 do you can only watch so much tv and 4 the racing mind i make a list before i go to bed of things 2 think of 4 the next day it helps me ask your dr but i just move ur arms and legs in circles if u can lay on ur back with pillows press your hands down against the bed then your legs it helps alittle have good day and he will be here soon im so excited 4 u the love that u will feel for him well i cant explain it but its wonderful

  • I have been doing the list thing and it helps a lot! Thank you!!! I am going to ask my Dr. about the little exercises tomorrow...

    Thank you so much!!!

    best of luck to you!

  • Oh Wow! You've been through so much!! Know that you're in my prayers! Your little boy will be here SO SOON!! :-) Hugs, Ash-

  • Thank you so much!!!

  • Oh hun you had one busy week.. I am glad you still have a smile on your face even with all these complications! :o) Take it easy and we are excited to meet Deacon! HUGS

  • Thank you so much! Yeah, it's been nuts! But I still have a zillion and 3 things to be greatful for... it could be so much worse!

  • I'm so sorry you are developing preeclampsia; my thoughts and prayers are with you. You're attitude is awesome and uplifting...keep it up and all will go well, and soon you'll be holding your little Deacon.

  • Thank you! I'm really a "bright side of things" person... it could be worse! I'm lucky to be home and still pregnant... I count those blessings (-:

  • Wow what a crazy week! On the upside I guess is that you get to have him so soon! How exciting!

  • Yes, exactly... plus he may not be too freakishly large (-;

  • im so excited that your baby boy is going to be here soon!!!

  • Thank you... me too!!!!! (-:

  • aww You're being so positive and upbeat. I didn't know you seen all that haze and spots all day long, that has GOT to suck. Poor thing. I love watching your videos, your positive outlook made me feel better about my issues

Thank you :) & you take it easy hun

  • (-: Thank you!!! You help me soooo much!!!

  • good luck, sweetheart! you're in my prayers!

  • Thank you!

  • get a gameboy DS...my friend is on bed rest so 3 of us chipped in nd bought her one and she loves it! we got her professor laytons curious village and it keeps her mind busy so she doesnt realize how bored she is lol. its worth a try =)

  • Thank you... although I am too cheap to buy one I did take your advice... I downloaded some game apps to my phone and that has been helping... thank you!

You guys sound like great friends! (-:

  • lol, PLEASE IGNORE MY LAST COMMENT!!! watched ur vid again and of course you do say what kind of birth it will be, lol, silly me.

  • Oh, I did? (-: lol

  • I agree with Lovmykids333 MAG SULFATE stinks.. As I have told you before it is the killer of all killers.. Meaning it is the worst. Ha.. I hope things get better for you but this is fixing to all pay off when little man gets here... Oh the waiting....

  • The waiting is the bad part... I just wait all day for either my son or my husband... thats it (-:

Why is that stuff so bad? I have yet to hear about it...

  • Hoping and praying all goes well for you. Can't wait to meet Deacon. I might have missed this, but will it be by C section?

  • Not sure yet... since he will be a little early I do have a chance of delivering him naturally (since he wont be 'as' big)- which I am hoping for... but whatever is best (-:

    Thank you!

  • I am very sorry to hear that you develop preeclampsia. However try to stay calm and think that you are the queen of your house for at least two weeks. relax !!!

  • lol, true... I am starting to find some ways to make the day go faster which is helping... it's hard to remember that it will only be this peaceful for a few days or weeks longer (-:

  • cont. Might still have a chance for this month. Which is exciting So GOOD LUCK my prayers are with you :)

  • Thank you!

    and GOOD LUCK to you!!!!!!!!!

  • aww!! its sooo exciting to think deacon will b here sooner than you thought, even under the circumstances but its all good hun, everything will go great!! you are in my prayers all the best! (",)

  • Thank you so much!

  • Oh man you have had such a week!! Yay for Deacon coming in a couple weeks!!! That is so crazy and exciting! I will have to finish and send your gift STAT :) Oh ya I got the Crop-a-dile the big bite one and I LOVE it!!! It is so amazing I made some cute little tin can planters with eyelets for mothers day favors! I LOVE that thing I found like a millon videos on youtube on stuff to make with it. I am still waiting to see if we are prego I am SO late now! But just got a + ovulation test so we

  • YAY!!!!!!!!! I am so happy to hear that!!! I REALLY hope that you are! I will keep my fingers, and toes and legs and arms crossed for you! How exciting!

Isn't the crop-a-dile the best? I am so glad that you got it! The Big Bite is the better one... I have both (-: Because I really wanted the bad boy once they came out with it (-: You should share some of the things you're making if you get a chance (-:

  • hopefully it wont go into Toximia (sp?) i did and passed out while pushing my son out it was very scary! then khori had to stay in the incu and i didnt see him until 1:30 that next morning

  • Wow... thats terrible... whats the difference between preeclampsia and toximia? In the hospital the Dr. was using them interchangeably.

  • Im on the labatalol also. Im on 100 mg twice a day. Do whatever you can to AVOID Magnesium Sulfate. It is the drug from HELL. LOL But if you need it then they will give it to you but I am sure hoping the Labatalol takes your BP down, it did mine. Im currently going to the doctor TWICE A WEEK!!!! UGggggg!!

  • That sounds just like me... the Labatalol doseage and the twice weekly visits- although at this point I look very forward to them... I get to leave the house!!!!

I havent even heard of the Magnesium Sulfate... why so bad? What is it?

  • You should learn to knit ! Or pick some season of some show that you haven't watched and rent some DVDs from Blockbuster

  • lol... I told Derick (my husband) that I should learn to knit... so I could make him a sweater while I was down... but really... it would be such a good thing to know right now!

  • My power has been out for a while now (thank goodness for my phone so I can watch videos!!!) So not good when you're already beyond bored!!!

    Thank you!

  • I had preeclampsia with my son. good luck i hope you don't get cabin fever lol =)
