I have two bulldogs, an American bulldog, Ace, and a pitt bull, Starlett. Both bulldogs are so loyal and trustworthy, preferring the company of small children, the elderly, and the sick, whoever needs them the most. The bulldog has been given a bad rap because some cruel human force them to fight; it is not in their genetic make-up to be mean at all. Ace has been my best pal for over 15 years now and Startlett is still a youngster. Bulldogs are great!!

There are over 25 breeds that are often reported as Pit Bulls or "pit bull types" So actual Pit Bulls are taking the rap for any damage done by over 25 breeds. 2) Pit Bulls tend to be the dog of choice for criminals and wanna-be thugs. labs have a bad press now because too many ppl own them, it was the same for pitts a few yrs back. pitts are fighting dogs but rodesian ridgebacks are lion hunting dogs and so forth, its ridiculous that a breed bites in a minority has to be destroyed. england realized they shouldn't of put pitts on the dangerous dogs list as it was a minority tht bit due to bad ownership. the dog whisperer has a pack of pitts and there doing just good. All dogs get in a fight from time to time. The pit does not fight to win, or repel an attack, they just try to kill their advisory. When a child eats out of a food bowel ( the owners mistake) the result is very very sad. Pits are very protective and switch from, "hi I think your a good person to I am going to kill you," for the smallest territorial infraction. Although they are good pets, the owners need to be very cautious with people that are not family members.

I just got my family a fawn bluenose pit puppy for xmas she is doing great in her training and loves my houseful of kids. My friend was attacked by 2 pitbulls that had attacked 3 other people in the same neighborhood that day for no reason it was in the paper for Conroe, Texas.
