I think the spirit of my Rotti, Tash (sometimes Smash) lives inside my Irish Wolfhound at times. Only time we muzzled Tash was before the athritis struck her. She was a fun dog, but for some reason had a problem with our bitser, Ulcol aka Bark
Aww, I had 1 also and the new pup that we got was like her spirit is still here.Everything our rottie did, is now transformed into our new pup I LOVE THEM BOTH DEEPLY. It hurts cuz i can see in my babies eyes that she isn't getting younger
Dogs are little angels put among us to bring joy and hapiness, to show us how we should behave, to teach us how life should be lived. Their eyes are only hope and innocence. They trust us so deeply. I believe that when they leave us is because someone else, in some other place, was needing them more than us. Thank God for the dogs.
I also had a Rottie. I had to put her down because she had multiple organ cancer. She was 13.5 years old. It was the hardest thing I ever had to do. She was my baby. My thoughts are with you.
Sorry for your loss, I am sure that he had a joyful and loving life, what most of the dogs cant even dream about. That could be a bit of solace I think. I have 2 rotties too, and would stop the ttime if I could to have them forever. RIP

I knowo how it feels to lose your best dog in the world. I lost my rottweiler Lady on Janruary 22, 2006. I had her since before I was born and she gave me the best first 10 years of my life. I'm 15 now and she has been gone for 5 years now. My birthday is in December and I'll be 16. So in Janruary she'll be gone 6 years. I know how it is to lose a great family friend like that, she gave me so much hope in life and now it's like you have to keep looking forward for that special someone. <3
This reminds me of my baby. Shes nine now and i know she doesnt have much time left because rotties dont live that long. It breaks my heart to know she can leave us any day now so i try to love her as much as i can every day that shes still here.

I´ve had one and only God knows how sweet he was. Also had to send him to heaven because of a cancer, but until his last day he kept spreading love and tenderness all around. Every day I think of him, and the better person he made of me.
My beautiful Cleopatra also died at age 11, victim of leukemia. Wonderful, virtuous, endowed with a great character and kind to all children. The lack it is huge and makes us cherish forever. She died on 23/08/2011.

I to cried as I watched your video, I total understand how hard it is. I lost Thor on 01/05/2010, the hardest day of my life. Thor was born on 09/22/01 & was smarter that a lot of people I have met it my life. He was also so so loyal, if I had to leave him for a short time he would not drink a drop of water of or eat any food at all. He would just wait by a window for me to come home.
I cried as well. I also have a 'rotten' rottie named Noodle, her birthday is the same as mine, August 21, the day before Cosmo's death. One thing I have always believed is that all dogs go to heaven and now I can have the thought that Noodle will have a playmate when she goes to the great field up in the sky...thanks for sharing your memory
Heart breaking. The love and bond shared with a Rottweiler is unlike anything else; something you never forget. My Rotty Cain died a few years ago and I've just recently been reunited with the faithfulness and loyalty of a Rot through my new friend Sentiva, a beautiful 3 year old German Rottweiler. I'd trust these dogs with my own life more than I would most humans.
I am from Argentina, I loved and I cried with all my dogs, they never failed me.

I fully understand the pain involved. My Taugen was found to have lymphatic cancer. I did chemo, and gained an additional 8 months with him. Still hard to take even after his passing in 2001.

I feel your pain. Ive had 5 Rotts but only 2 of them were put to sleep, I never got to say goodbye to them =(. I miss them all so much espesially Rylond who died a month and a half ago from old age, he lived to be 16 years old but that old man was my closest friend. I spent his final 2 weeks with him in Germany making sure his last memories were great ones. I still cant believe he was born on my birthday.

Bmb I'm trying to lower the risk of osteosarcoma occurring with my second rottweiler (first passed from it in 2005). I read some studies that concluded if you didn't neuter or spay the dog that the bone cancer risk could be cut in half. Was Cosmo neutered?

Thanks for the video, made me cry even more. We just lost our beloved rottie "Mo" last week. I can't tell you how much we miss him. He was our protector and guardian, my husband's buddy and my big boy. He was over 11 years old, huge, and tough as nails (ask the UPS or mailman) til the day he passed. I went to feed him in the evening and thought he was asleep in his doghouse, but sadly no.
i understand....i have one two and breaks my hart when i think when he willl go....so i must enjoy the present....and cosmo han a good life..a great family...he will be waiting for all of you..that`s for sure...take care.

I loved all my dogs, I bought a rotty when my dog die..actually was a gift..I didnt like him at first, but during the night he started to come into my bedroom...he liked to sleep in my bed and now I cant be away from him....nice story, thk for sharing with us

i am a mature male of 26 and i actualy cryed through out this slide show, mainly because my dog (penny) who is a lab/retreaver with 2x cancer, and i am going through the same fate as what u went through.... i am a dog lover and penny is my first "true" love and i know i willl miss her to bits but i made the mistake that u did not, i do not have many vidios and or pictures of penny through out her age, so all i have is memorys, but like u said in the last msg "UN TILL WE MEET AGAIN" amen.

so sad! we lost our female rottie to cancer. neer even knew she was sick until she started limping took her to the vet and it was her leg so we xrayd he rest to see if we could amputate but her whole chest and everything was full of cancer, we put her down a few days later.

We lost our Rott Two months ago on October 14 2010 from a twisted stomach. She was 9 years old and was the best dog we ever had. Smart, personality protective. She went everywhere with us, camping, Skiing, Road Tips , fishing. It was a hard blow and it still is. I know what you are going through. Our dog had two hip surgeries both elbows and it was getting harder for her. I know she is in a better place now.

They gave him 6-12 months to live after surgery but he has been going good for over 3 years now. We tried to save an abused rotty but he was so messed up he attacked a neighbor without any warning. He was such a nice dog and in the prime of his life we had to put him down. People who abuse animals truely sicken me.

So sorry about your loss. I have a black lab that was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma but we had the leg amputated and he did chemo and he's lived 4 1/2 more years and is 12 1/2 now. We just rescued a Rottie to keep him company and he's a great dog!

This video really got to me. I had a Rottweiler named Riely Jo and he was more than just a dog to me. He was my best friend. I told him everything. Watching this video I started to cry. I lost my Riely this past Feburary and miss him so much. We believed he had cancer as well. We were blessed to have 9 beautiful year with our best friend. He brought so much joy to our life. im sorry for yur loss. my frist dog was 8 or 9. she got kidney faliure and we put her down the next day when she stayed over night at the vet . we put her down on the 8th january 2007/8 and her name was bess . i got a new dog 6 months later in augest. his name is benji.I now what yu felt like when he died. i miss her still.='(
@screamkilla1 I'm so sorry. It's an awful empty feeling when we lose a pet. It makes us feel so helpless. I still miss him like it was yesterday. Eventually the pain does lessen.... but you never forget and that little piece of your heart will always be missing them ...
@screamkilla1 I'm very sorry :,( it does take a lot of time and healing. You will eventually feel better and start to remember the good times and spend less time feeling the guilt and loss of having to put him/her to sleep. Unfortunately it's a long road to recovery

Our rottie Cody was diagnosed 7 months ago. He lost his front leg and shoulder to it, but is no longer in pain and is happy every moment of every day. And we feel each day is a special gift with our best best friend. I weep for you and understand your loss. They are an amazing--and often misunderstood--breed. A beautiful tribute to Cosmo!

I think this was a great way 2 celebrate his life. I just had 2 put my 10 and a half yr old rottie Kylee down a month ago 2day. She was the most amazing dog I ever met and my 1st dog. She was diagnosed with breast and lung cancer n within a week I had 2 put her to sleep. I layed with her while they did it, I had 2 be rite with her til the very end. I miss her so much words cant even explain. As much as I cried watching this, I know that all dogs go to heaven n they will be waiting for us!!!

I to cried as I watched your video, I total understand how hard it is. I lost Thor on 01/05/2010, the hardest day of my life. Thor was born on 09/22/01 & was smarter that a lot of people I have met it my life. He was also so so loyal, if I had to leave him for a short time he would not drink a drop of water of or eat any food at all. He would just wait by a window for me to come home.

I cried as well. I also have a 'rotten' rottie named Noodle, her birthday is the same as mine, August 21, the day before Cosmo's death. One thing I have always believed is that all dogs go to heaven and now I can have the thought that Noodle will have a playmate when she goes to the great field up in the sky...thanks for sharing your memory

Heart breaking. The love and bond shared with a Rottweiler is unlike anything else; something you never forget. My Rotty Cain died a few years ago and I've just recently been reunited with the faithfulness and loyalty of a Rot through my new friend Sentiva, a beautiful 3 year old German Rottweiler. I'd trust these dogs with my own life more than I would most humans.

I fully understand the pain involved. My Taugen was found to have lymphatic cancer. I did chemo, and gained an additional 8 months with him. Still hard to take even after his passing in 2001.

I feel your pain. Ive had 5 Rotts but only 2 of them were put to sleep, I never got to say goodbye to them =(. I miss them all so much espesially Rylond who died a month and a half ago from old age, he lived to be 16 years old but that old man was my closest friend. I spent his final 2 weeks with him in Germany making sure his last memories were great ones. I still cant believe he was born on my birthday.
R.I.P. Rylond Dec. 3 1995- Apr. 15 2011 No better friend I could ever ask for.

Bmb I'm trying to lower the risk of osteosarcoma occurring with my second rottweiler (first passed from it in 2005). I read some studies that concluded if you didn't neuter or spay the dog that the bone cancer risk could be cut in half. Was Cosmo neutered?

Rotties are great dogs.
I had one as well, named her Mai-Mai.
I was never attached to any of our dogs until Mai came into my life.
Then she went away back in April of 2010.

We just suddenly lost our utterly loved beyond words rotti called Lusie.
She was only 7. She was the greatest thing to ever enter our lives.
She was the glue that kept my seperated wife Elaine and I together by dropping her off each morning then evening.
We have never experienced such pain.
We still love Lusie sooo much even although she is gone.

Thanks for the video, made me cry even more. We just lost our beloved rottie "Mo" last week. I can't tell you how much we miss him. He was our protector and guardian, my husband's buddy and my big boy. He was over 11 years old, huge, and tough as nails (ask the UPS or mailman) til the day he passed. I went to feed him in the evening and thought he was asleep in his doghouse, but sadly no.

I loved all my dogs, I bought a rotty when my dog die..actually was a gift..I didnt like him at first, but during the night he started to come into my bedroom...he liked to sleep in my bed and now I cant be away from him....nice story, thk for sharing with us

i am a mature male of 26 and i actualy cryed through out this slide show, mainly because my dog (penny) who is a lab/retreaver with 2x cancer, and i am going through the same fate as what u went through.... i am a dog lover and penny is my first "true" love and i know i willl miss her to bits but i made the mistake that u did not, i do not have many vidios and or pictures of penny through out her age, so all i have is memorys, but like u said in the last msg "UN TILL WE MEET AGAIN" amen.

so sad! we lost our female rottie to cancer. neer even knew she was sick until she started limping took her to the vet and it was her leg so we xrayd he rest to see if we could amputate but her whole chest and everything was full of cancer, we put her down a few days later.

We lost our Rott Two months ago on October 14 2010 from a twisted stomach. She was 9 years old and was the best dog we ever had. Smart, personality protective. She went everywhere with us, camping, Skiing, Road Tips , fishing. It was a hard blow and it still is. I know what you are going through. Our dog had two hip surgeries both elbows and it was getting harder for her. I know she is in a better place now.

They gave him 6-12 months to live after surgery but he has been going good for over 3 years now. We tried to save an abused rotty but he was so messed up he attacked a neighbor without any warning. He was such a nice dog and in the prime of his life we had to put him down. People who abuse animals truely sicken me.

So sorry about your loss. I have a black lab that was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma but we had the leg amputated and he did chemo and he's lived 4 1/2 more years and is 12 1/2 now. We just rescued a Rottie to keep him company and he's a great dog!

This video really got to me. I had a Rottweiler named Riely Jo and he was more than just a dog to me. He was my best friend. I told him everything. Watching this video I started to cry. I lost my Riely this past Feburary and miss him so much. We believed he had cancer as well. We were blessed to have 9 beautiful year with our best friend. He brought so much joy to our life. Miss you forever Riely for you will always be in my heart. RIP COSMO AND RIELY!!!!

im sorry for yur loss. my frist dog was 8 or 9. she got kidney faliure and we put her down the next day when she stayed over night at the vet . we put her down on the 8th january 2007/8 and her name was bess . i got a new dog 6 months later in augest. his name is benji.I now what yu felt like when he died. i miss her still.='(

Our rottie Cody was diagnosed 7 months ago. He lost his front leg and shoulder to it, but is no longer in pain and is happy every moment of every day. And we feel each day is a special gift with our best best friend. I weep for you and understand your loss. They are an amazing--and often misunderstood--breed. A beautiful tribute to Cosmo!

I think this was a great way 2 celebrate his life. I just had 2 put my 10 and a half yr old rottie Kylee down a month ago 2day. She was the most amazing dog I ever met and my 1st dog. She was diagnosed with breast and lung cancer n within a week I had 2 put her to sleep. I layed with her while they did it, I had 2 be rite with her til the very end. I miss her so much words cant even explain. As much as I cried watching this, I know that all dogs go to heaven n they will be waiting for us!!!

@sprocyon I layed with her while they put her 2 sleep. The absolute hardest thing Ive ever done in my life. I miss her more than I ever imagined I could :(
