Love it! This was the video that introduced me to Failure... I doubt anything will be as good as the original song... but this is a wonderful cover, and I love Statistics. The snowboarding is awesome
@mdeboard1 Isn't that harsh for a band that spent a lot of time practicing,. just for at least one good take of a song they love for a CD that was produced for the sake of commemoration towards Failure?. Before everyone starts speaking they should probably back up their stories. You never really know how you'll hear it someday.
Failure was a great band. You guys nailed this song. Its good to see people honoring this band. Just put the info that is a cover in the description. And put a link that points the itunes page for this song.
I think not making the song their own is part of the problem. It kind sounds like this singer doesn't normally sing like this. They follow failures song and then mix the guitar or guitar way down during the singing. A common trick used by someone with weak vocals or either to push out the vocals. Failures voice is more of an insturemnt so it doesn't really have to compete the guitar but they both complament each other.
Well, I have to also implore people to appreciate the original. Ken Andrews is a genius, but I think that after years of truly appreciating the original, this song is also deserving of some merit, if any.
And I have to say the vocals are a little weak.
But, ah, besides that, I liked the content you used for you film. =] Good job.
