My Grandpa used to sing this for me...it brings tears to my eyes to think about it. Does anyone know how i can download it to my ipod??? I have been looking for this forever!!
my dad used to sing this to me. he passed away in 2002, but I still remember the songs, and him, like they were yesterday. This was his lullaby to me, even when I got older, along with another of wilf's songs, " one golden curl". love you dad.
my dad use to sing this to me, he died two months ago, and I couldn't remember the name of this song until I asked my mom. I'd give anything to have my dad sing this too me again.
Late '60's, Maple Street, Sunday afternoons and Mom making supper while singing along to her Wilf carter records. Thanks for the memories (and for posting this).
I'm glad someone finally put some Wilf Carter up here. I grew up listening to him and I'm only 29 but my dad always played his records (I think he has them all!)

Wow! My mum sang this song to me when I was a kid, and I sing it to my boys every night. I never knew where it came from. Thanks for sharing it.

This makes my heart happy. My daddy use to walk around the house singing songs like this. I love it.

Between Wilf Carter and Slim Whitman, we had some very good music. Thanks for the post.

I grew up with Wilf's songs too. I learned how to play guitar listening to all these great recordings.
