  • which motor is it? 3.4? I have a 3.4 im going to be putting in my s10 with a roots supercharger running 11 psi. with many other things of course. but it has a holley 4bbl carb. large cam, forged pistons and rods, bigger ratio rocker arms. among other things.

  • i love you idea of turnin 2 of the pipes from the headers and usin that instead of runnin piping and tieing it in somewhere, get more out of it that way. kudos gonna try and turbo mine this summer, who knows though, got everything figured, from the turbo kit to the motor rebuild with a couple hop ups, gonna run me about 1300$

  • Man you got me all sorts of jealous. Always wanted to turbo a v6 3rd gen.. I much prefer the weight balance of the v6's to the stiff riding nose heavy z28's and GTA's. I bet you have a fair bit of fun driving this!

  • @kps2500 If you did the work yourself it should be no more than 1500. The turbo would be the only most expensive piece.

    car ran a 13.00@105mph on 9psi with only 12* timing on pump gas.car tipped the scales at 3422#'s on that run

    im now tunning for 27#'s of boost with alky injection, should have some new vids up soon,but i wont have track vids till late march when my local track opens back up

  • I know it's new but I would have never guessed any thing stock would survive anything above 5psi of boost.Clean build tho.

  • hey man i got a problem with my camaro when i rev it the rpms stay up high and take a while to drop back down even after i take my foot of the gas what do think it is the maf sensor???

  • it could be a lot of sensors. take off the maf sensor, and idle air control valve(on the throttle body.) and spray it with brake cleaner, let it air dry, and put it back on. thats what I did. you could also try disconnecting the O2 sensor to see if that makes a difference.

  • ohh wow i did not even realize that all i have to do is replace the injectors. I dont even plan on running more than 6 psi in my 2.8. Im goining to start ordering the parts. The only thing that worries me is drilling the oil pan and welding that fitting. You should sell that header you made on thirdgen.

  • no a turbo on the 8 will make more power out of the box, the stock v6 is good for 400hp and weve had guys make well over that without hurting them @ 6 psi this motor makes just over 320hp

  • its not a strip queen :D car will always be a daily driver. yeah the interior is mint except for being dirty,needs a good shampooing.once that and i finish the body work and get it painted the car will be really nice. thnx man

  • did you make your own headers? if you did they are beautiful. im still in prosses of getting my turbo done on mine. and do you have 3 inch coming off your hotside? and is it just a dump, with no muffler?

  • yes i built the headers out of .065 wall 316L stainless tubing,thanks.yes im running a 3 inch downpipe that exits infront of were the factory cat would be,at the track i run the downpipe open,in the street i run a full ex system,the downpipe hooks to the factpry catback ex system

  • i put a 3.4 out of a 94 camaro. I also am doing a similar turbo i changed intake and everything so all the wires would still work. i was wondering what you did with the mass air. and what size injectors did you use

  • Mass Air Flow sensor was eliminated, the engine is running off of an engine management system known as "MegaSquirt".... ;)

  • ok, is that the box at the tb. is that something you made or can buy? and do you think that mass air could adjust fast enought to 8psi?

  • Depends on the MAF. A lot of guys run newer MAF's, albeit with a translator. However, most guys opt to go with a Speed Density setup enhanced to measure boost. In my own personal application, I'm running the Typhoon/Syclone ECM ('7749), but with the $59 mask.

    The MegaSquirt, in this application, is located inside of the car,. There is a site dedicated to the MegaSquirt, just run a search on Yahoo for more information. If your going to use your stock ECM, be sure to utilize an FMU.... ;)

  • teh stock mass air setup is good for 7 psi with 19# injectors on a 2.8, on a 3.4 u would prolly have to goto a 24# injector and be limited to 4-5 psi of boost without an fmu.deff look into a megasquirt unit, or some other means of tunning

  • LOL, think the next car show is in September, and mine definitely won't be "completely" finished until then (roof's getting chopped). The turbo setup however is almost done, just need to fabricate the down w/cutout to the exhaust then it's done, so we'll be able to line them up very soon.... ;)
