  • thep1zzaman you seem like a nice fellow are you Russian then?

  • Clearly the Genetics of the Russian brain allows them to beat the western capitalist pigs at anything, hence the success of TU-144 our glorious nuclear Power Stations and Submarines the magnificant AK47 which has saved so many lives, my Lada Riva etc. etc. etc. Simples, p.s. thanks for sending us your Chernobyl radiation, don't need to turn the light on in winter now that my kids glow in the dark

  • @andawsbro lol... good luck with olympics... now that you dont even have money to send children to schools. oh yeah, what schools am i on about - the next entire british generation, consists of looters and hooligans (criminals) nice going oh mighty britain hahaha dont worry though, that massive dong up ur rear end (usa) will give u some money as usual - i cant expect you guys to actually enjoy this and not expect anything for it... hahaha even prostitutes have more brains...

  • plain copy of Concorde, but still, a beautiful peice of engineering!

  • @tjampe

Its a delta wing supersonic passenger jet. If you can design and produce one in a different shape, please surprise me and the rest of the world, otherwise keep such stupid comments to yourself. It was built the way its built because that is the optimal layout for supersonic commercial passengers travel, not because the Russians were short of ideas on how to build a plane.

  • @DrHavoc1 Now it's time for you to go and read some history. you obviosly don't know anything about either Concorde or Tuplove 144. It was a damn competition between Europe nad Soviet, which one could produce the first Supersonic passanger jet. If you go and read some history you will find out that the russians stold several ideas and prototype drawings of the Concorde. And there are serveral other designs for a supersonic jet as Tu-444, Boeing-2707 SST, QSST and the Aerion SBJ.

  • @tjampe First of all, the Tupolev is bigger, has a different engine arrangement, folding canards

and geometry changing nose. Although it looks similar to the concorede, its quite different.

QSST, Tu-444 and Aerion SBJ are private jets that cant carry more than 30 people. The boeing looks exactly like the Tu-144 and the concorde with a different engine arrangement, does that mean the USA copied from USSR and Europe? I don't think so. You proved nothing with your argument.

  • I'd love to drive that 18-wheeler!!!

  • ¿No reverse thrust?.

  • its a russian CONCORDE

  • very hard :|

  • bumpy landing jaja concorde and tupolev 144 is the best

  • In Soviet Russia, plane lands you!

  • Well. Thats show Area 51 is real. PS: Is this the same as the XB-70?

  • @FSupploader I don't think one comment could be any more wrong in so many ways...

  • I love it, wish I could be there nearby its beautiful.

  • beautiful plane!

  • Rate comment or flag. Right on the top.

  • How does one leave a "Massage" on a youtube video page?

  • It made 55 scheduled commercial passenger runs from 1977-78 before being withdrawn.

  • @jeselmira2 yes

  • I bet they all had to change their shorts on that one!

  • strange plane

  • MAAAN THATS SCARY !!

  • Conchord with ears?

  • "Did we land or were we shot down?"

  • @Ucster Lmao

  • I thought the russians were copying the concorde at the time but the russians coould never get it quite right. I must of read different history books lol

  • Excellent..!!

  • I hate russian planes bacause the are crash a lot.(not all but mostly tupolev)

  • @tomdefsxfan thats not true, they don't crash more than any other plane. Some Russian planes like the Tupolev Tu-114 have no flight related deaths.

  • Tu.144, indeed first supersonic plane in world, made by stolen blueprints of Concorde spy soviet unions spy

  • Awesome !!!!

  • @scrfce123 If they were doing this test now, it would have Tupolev, NASA, and Boeing instead.

  • @TheAck79 tupolev flew first

  • @MultiDanielH145 And tupolev was much bigger commercial fail than Concorde which flew tens of years longer and many times more.

  • no wonder they dont carry passengers

  • Russian Pilots...

  • @FF35Pilot Actually it was flown by American pilots. This was a US-Russian joint project, using a Tu-144 for research. The Russians only provided the plane.

  • it looks like a religious mantis solid metal

  • Russians always make stuff that may bump but always resist the pressure.

  • Whats with the bumpy landing? Testing the landing gear? Or just doing a general test? Looks to me like he did it on purpose.

  • Main reason Concorde was retired was because BA and Air France believed it cost too much to maintain and operate. They are a business and wanna c maximum return. 40 million pounds was needed to maintain the fleet because the life of the structure would only last 30 years, among other things such as digital computers and a glass cockpit. I know 40 million sounds a lot but that's just loose change hanging around at the bottom of BA's pockets. They should of just done it.

  • Wow. All the comments. This is how i see it. Concorde started off 2 years before TU-144. The engineers aim was to build Concorde to travel above mach 2 and also be extremely safe and reliable. The TU-144 on the other hand just wanted to beat Concorde into the sky which it did. (by two months) That was there goal. Maybe Russian espionage did play a role. i dunno. But looking at the 2 planes they are very different. The wings etc. But Concorde Conquered in the end.

  • Those pilots flare too early causes the plane to lose velocity and then bumped down to the ground.

  • The Tu-144 flew 2 months before the concorde.

  • A whole heap of unrelated tags there.

  • Justice is done!Best Advertising "duck" "Concord" written off for scrap. Tupolev 144 continues to fly.

It is a pity that in order to understand what Concorde is flying trash, killing many people

  • @mangust1982 the concorde had one crash, caused by another aircraft, the tu-144 had many structural and mechanical failures as well as a crash at the paris air show where it broke up mid-flight. Now I'm not saying that the tu-144 wasn't a great aircraft, but you have to respect the concorde too, both were and are great aircraft.

  • @Flightkid9 THIS IS TRANSLATED GOOGLE! : A friend! I'm not arguing with you! Concord great milestone in the history aviatsii.I I'm sorry that it ended so tragically. But understand me Tu-144 crashed while dodging a collision with french observation aircraft at Le Burzhe.U Tu-144 were no Incidents of civil aviation in. He has proven absolutely reliable. And even the engines were on the strategic Tu-160.

  • @Flightkid9 Tu-144 was ahead of his time and without any advertising, which is famous Concorde. A decision to discontinue its production has been on the conscience of the authorities. But the fact that the Tu-144 flying now, but Concord is not. If the Tu-144 flew past and would be competition, then there would not be the tragedy of death.

  • @Flightkid9 But the policy decided. I am sure that if a Concorde was a competitor in civil transport, it would lead their developers look for ways to improve the quality and reliability of aircraft Concorde. And without competition, representatives of the Concorde's not afraid. ///// regards to you from Russia, Andrei.

  • @mangust1982 yes the crash of the tu-144 was caused by it trying to dodge another plane, but it did have many problems, reports say that it would routinely have many failures on almost every flight, if you read the wikipedia article on the tu-144 it includes information about how it normally had many system failures on flights. Other than that I have to agree with most of what you said. Regards from the great white north! :)

  • Plane look solid! Like Great Russian Bear!

  • @nurfhearder ....LMFAO !!!!!

  • Very strange to see the Tupolev logo with NASA, McDonnell Douglas, Boeing and Rockwell logos on the same airframe.

  • @scrfce123 The Tupolovs were gutted and refitted with Boeing Avionics and Rockwell / McDonnell Douglas and NASA upgrades-

it is a Russian-American project to preserve a fairly "salvagable" airframe, basically a larger version of the Concorde

  • do they still fly those?

  • @LiguidNitrogen No,it was this shit company that tried copying the Concorde, but it consumed way too much fuel and wasn't safe enough!

  • @HMSDaring1 is a dickhead. Go read some books.

  • @MrChroot Well, from what I heard, the manufacturers had the problem that the aircraft were too fuel thirsty and weren't very safe, idiot,

  • @HMSDaring1 that's more like it. Also, people did the best they could, have some respect moron.

  • @HMSDaring1 yes, and by the way, they did not copy Concorde. Concorde had her maiden flight 2 March 1969, and Tu-144 31 December 1968. Do the math.

  • @MrChroot Oh shut up calling me a moron, you don't even know me, stop being a hypocrite, "have some respect moron" How contradictory is that! Anyway, so I did as you said, read a couple of pages and guess what I found "The Tu-144 was outwardly similar to the Aérospatiale / British Aircraft Corporation Concorde, under development at the same time, and there were frequent allegations that Soviet espionage played a key role" I like the design of the TU-144, but it was too fuel thirsty and unsafe

  • @HMSDaring1 frequent allegations my ass.

  • @MrChroot You can say that, but afterall, lets not forget the Concorde project started two years earlier, maybe the Tupolev copied the Concorde, or maybe they didn't. All I know was that the Concorde never deserved to be grounded, and all I want is to see her flying again

  • @HMSDaring1 I think Concorde was a really great achievement, no doubt about that. Though, as you can see, both Concorde and Tu-144 ended up the same way. No one needs supersonic passenger airplane. That's pity, but business efficiency is above all.

  • @HMSDaring1 i just didn't like you called Tupolev "this shit company", that's all. Tupolev isn't the world's best manufacturer, but let's not forget Tu-144, Tu-95 Bear and Tu-160 Blackjack.

  • @MrChroot And for that I'm sorry, it just pissed me off that Concorde was grounded, when I saw the stupid reason for Concorde being grounded it pissed me off further, I think supersonic passenger aircraft will always be needed, its just that British Airways & Air France had a rough time and saw that grounding Concorde would have been the best thing, but I think both aircraft are brilliant, just came at the wrong time... after 11th September 2001, passengers were terrified of flying

  • @MrChroot Dork. Just cos the Condordski flew earlier doesn't prove SHIT! It is well known and factually proven that the french leaked secrets like a sieve and that is how the russkis got the design early but if you look closely you will see that the engines are in a different place and also spoon head, the condorski has canards while the concord does not. Now, you rocket scientist, would you like to explain why? or are you really full of shit? hey, dick head?

  • @LiguidNitrogen Tu-144LL's last flight was in 1999 (14th April). Tu-144s ran out of regular passenger service in 1978 (1st June), but Aerofłot used them for next 11 years.

  • That thing is such an ugly plane..

  • Very nice stuff. I like the Tu 144 even though it was a KGB-copy of the Concorde SST. It was a success until it broke apart in midair. Maybe the KGB forgot to copy all sites of the Concorde file. :-) However I think this plane is very beautiful and has a nice sound.

  • une très mauvaise copie du concorde que les usa ne voulais pas voir voler

  • Looks very sensitive on controls.

  • looks like a winged drunk rabbit.

  • I respect the pilots who have been able to take off flown and landed these Delta wing beasts, and with that I mean Concorde AND the Tu-144.

    The hardest aircraft to fly..

  • Concordski - a beautiful plane. It was faster than Concorde too, mostly because it used military jet engines.

  • @charlesmar - the Olympus engines used in Concorde were also used in the Vulcan - and a naval derivative used in some RN ships.

  • @charlesmar they both use military jet engines

  • who to fuck is flying this thing, the boot lt 2 weeks outta flight school

  • What a horrible plane.

  • The AK-47 of the sky!

  • @felixlinquist You're right man, you're right.

  • it looks like a concorde

  • @Miecio90pl No, the concorde looks like it :P

  • @Miecio90pl IT IS Concorde. Russia has stolen it and named Tupolev 144

  • @S4uryk it was a competition between the concord tupolev 144 and boeings SST

  • what the fuck is this!! it is a flying casket

  • @Guywhowearsunderwear just so you know, the plane was never used commercially, and to everyone who keeps saying the pilots suck...the TU-144 was one of the most difficult aircraft ever to be made, and maybe you should youyute the paris air show crash and see why...

  • @Guywhowearsunderwear cuz it lost to the concorde

  • Comment removed

  • concordski, lolllll

  • That plane look's not to solid no wounder it crashed so many time's

  • The first Tupolew that we see is the 144D(LL) wihich last flight was 1999, because the NASA and Boeing make tests with them. The second one is the Prototype from 1968, which was scraped in 1973

  • Looks like a puppy when it's about to land, the canards look like puppy ears LOL

  • OOUCHHH :)

  • Is that a Concorde?

  • It's a Tu-144, Tupolev-144, soviet supersonic and first supersonic in a world!

  • @SidorAvia hu?????? what u mean 1st supersonic in a world.... thought it was the bell X-1... no?

  • @bamsawa ,

Of course, I meant the first _passenger_ supersonic. Thought it's obvious...

  • @SidorAvia nothing is obvious on youtube....... never under esimate the iQ of ppl out there ( on the internet)

  • @SidorAvia Never in service.

  • nope, TU144.

engines are closer together than concorde, winds are angular on the leading edges, and the wheelsets are different

  • why does it wrote boeng ? isnt it a russian plane ? do they fly those in operation nowadays ?

  • Because Tupolev built a flying laboratory 144LL based on Tu-144 for NASA/Boeing for research related to High Speed Commercial program. Program was canceled in 2001 I believe and it never flown since then. Although some say it's still in flight rediness condition somewhat...

  • in the early 2000s Mc.Donnell Douglas (now Boeing) teamed up with Tupolev OKB to do some flight testing on the TU144 to see about a feasability study of an American SST i think

  • it even goes faster than the concorde

  • looks like a toy lol

  • The ground effect from the big Delta wing is brutal. Same problem the Concorde encountered. Landing speeds of 170-180kts, flare combined with ground effect makes for a challenging landing every time.

  • Hmm something not right about that landing, like its made of wood or something it bounces like a rc model rather than a real aircraft.

  • yeah, in my modest opinion ......overspeed

  • looks like he was going too fast

  • the whole wing structure is bouncing!!!

  • it is normal thing that big airplanes wings are moving with air flow or hard handings, my point is in this video; before the 0:10 sec....

  • Yep thats true solomanaltar fake .

  • working with the u.s.? oke

  • Is it me or do many Russian Passenger jets look like other passenger jets across the world.

  • Looks like he misjudged how close he was to the ground, not surprising with how little you can actually see out the front of those things.

  • this is a test flight

  • I love this plane, it looks so majestic. Too bad it didn't work out. I think Boeing people sabotaged the project, jealous!

  • it looks like if it has dog ears

  • bounce bounce lol!!!

  • I always thought it's funny that the Tu 144 later was only used to transport mail throughout the USSR. Sonic mail!

  • Go Go Gadget Pogo Sticks! WOW! Love the look of the airplane and also that jet flying pace with the airplane, like the spaceshuttle does. But dam it bounced 3 times down the runaway. Who ever makes those landing gear is the best in his field and is second to none.

  • Yes! Russian planes in general have very strong wheel gear since many of the planes land in parts of Russia (or ex-Soviet states) that have very rough runways. TU-154 , if you wikipedia the term and examine "past incidents", shows a particular example of the landing gear's robustness; it has to do with the cockpit crew forgeting to activate the gear...you got to read it to beleive it! All were safe but they had to scrap the plane anyways.

  • However, it was a beatiful aircraft... but builted too fast, with not enough tests and studies... Very bumpy landin !!! looks to be very unstable at low speed...

  • Great video 5*

And people wonder why the concorede was like a 1000x better

  • nice, when the wheels touch down for the second time you could see the smoke getting blown away by the wing tip vortices
