A great SUV, I bought the car in this video in 2008 after Chevrolet UK sold it on. Nearly 3 years on and not one fault, it would suit a 6 speed gearbox and a nice big sunroof.

I have a 2.0 vcdi captiva top of the range model n it's brilliant in every way. My mates love it too and for long journeys it's perfect. Best car ever. Better than any Santa fe or land cruiser.

I like the way it looks but look up every single time someone takes it offorad, it struggles even with the lightest offroading. This is why, for the same price of a new Captiva, I bought a 2007 Land Cruiser and have NEVER looked back.

wierd review, i have a captiva 2.0D LT and normally drive it to work at over 170kph, i live in malaysia and the drivers are mostly stupid, so i often have to swerve violently to the left and right to avoid them at high speed, and the handling is great!

i reside here in the philippines and with its challenging terrain aggravated by traffic in the city i will say this chevy captiva performs very well. i had recently bought a diesel 4x2 and it picks up speed in time when its needed. the aircon is good more so in tropical countries like ours but the best part of a chevy captiva is ists ability to ascend and descend on hills. in the compact suv cathegory its the captiva that only offers a 7seater and a better stance with its 17'' mags.

The Equinox is not related, and built on a different platform. The American version of the Captiva is actually the current generation Saturn Vue.

Q actually stands for Quattro, means 4 in Italian. The designing of the Audi Q series was not just done by the Audi, but it was also done by the Italian company which also gave the Quattro technology to the Audi. Quattro specialise in all wheel drive systems for vehicles.
