The point is Hollywood, Academia, the Free Press, the democratic process, & America are suppose to be an open foum. I'm Spanish and this is something that not only happens in the USA.

I don't really think that there's a 'master plan' behind the fact most TV fiction and programs are seeding 'left ideas'. I think it's just 'conservatives' were afraid to spread their ideas because they were said they were doing proselytism, but 'left liberals' hadn't that fright. It's not the selling of social liberalism that bothers me, it's the rest of the bias. There is always a bias against free markets and toward government. It's not even subtle with some shows. It's the left that isn't open to new ideas. They all worship the state. And last I checked, Obama has just doubled-down on what the previous administration was doing to a large degree.

Money gets taken evey week from a poor or lower middle class person's check to pay for a upper middle class or rich person's health care and retirement. The over 65 demographic is the welathiest country. Yes, some of those people are totally dependent, but others have assets and other sources of income. It's socialism for the well-off.

In addition, before these programs people were cared for by families, churches, mutual-aid societies, fraternal organizations, lodges, neighbors, etc. No force was initiated and an individual had the liberty to decide where his money and time went.

Later on politicians figured out that if they set up a political patronage system, they could get votes by 'giving" other people's tax dollars away. Power was transferred to the state and away from the people. Now, we are on the verge of collapse.

If it wasn't for this type of viewpoint from Susan Harris it wouldn't even be the same show and boring in comparison. On the foreign policy front he has expanded the warfare state abroad and the police state at home with the renewal of the Patriot Act.
